Dear Students,
As winter deepens and warmth abounds, the Spring Festival approaches. To ensure the personal and property safety of all students during the holiday, and to help everyone enjoy a safe, healthy, civilized, warm, and harmonious winter vacation and Spring Festival, the Student Affairs Department hereby issues the following safety reminders. All students are requested to study them carefully, strictly abide by them, and celebrate the festival safely.
I. Strictly Observe Travel Safety for Safe and Comfortable Journeys
When visiting relatives and friends or traveling during the vacation, always prioritize safety. Choose formal licensed transportation; refuse illegal taxis, unqualified vehicles, overloaded vehicles, and illegally operated vehicles. In winter, roads are prone to icing and slipperiness—pay attention to cold protection, slip prevention, and collision avoidance when traveling. For driving, strictly prohibit drunk driving, intoxicated driving, unlicensed driving, and fatigued driving; always fasten seat belts. When riding electric or regular bicycles, consciously wear safety helmets. Inform family members of your itinerary before going out, keep your phone sufficiently charged, and maintain open communication to reassure both family and school.
II. Strictly Observe Fire Safety for Warm and Safe Home Celebrations
During the Spring Festival, fire, electricity, and gas usage increase—significantly raise safety awareness. Use electrical appliances, gas, and heating equipment properly at home; avoid overloading circuits; never leave fire sources, power sources, or gas sources unattended. Strictly prevent fires, electric shocks, gas leaks, and carbon monoxide poisoning. Strictly comply with local regulations on fireworks prohibition and restriction; do not set off fireworks in prohibited areas, corridors, balconies, grass areas, gas stations, or other dangerous places. Keep away from crowds and flammable materials; minors must be accompanied by guardians for civilized fireworks use. When participating in worship and blessing activities, ensure fires are completely extinguished before leaving, leaving no safety hazards behind.
III. Strictly Observe Property Safety and Stay Vigilant Against Fraud
The vacation period is a high-incidence time for telecom and online fraud—all students must enhance anti-fraud awareness. Be alert to various fraud tactics including
fake order rebate scams, impersonating customer service for refunds, fraudulent online loans, game transactions, impersonating relatives or teachers borrowing money, and impersonating public security, procuratorial, or judicial authorities. Firmly adhere to: do not easily believe, do not disclose, do not transfer money, and verify multiple times. Do not casually leak ID numbers, bank card numbers, SMS verification codes, or other important information. Do not rent, lend, or sell phone cards, bank cards, or payment accounts. Protect your wallet and property safety. If encountering suspicious situations or being defrauded, report to police immediately and inform your counselor and college.
IV. Strictly Observe Practice Safety, Work Civilized Part-time Jobs, and Protect Legal Rights
Students participating in vacation part-time jobs, internships, or social practice must select legitimate and compliant employers through formal channels, sign formal agreements, and clarify responsibilities, rights, and safety guarantees. Be vigilant against job scams such as "high-salary traps," "pay-to-work schemes," and "pyramid scheme inducements." Do not participate in any illegal or non-compliant part-time jobs or activities. During internship work, comply with employer rules and regulations, pay attention to labor safety and workplace protection. When encountering rights violations or risk hazards, communicate promptly with family and college, and protect your legitimate rights and interests according to law.
V. Strictly Observe Physical and Mental Health for Regular Living and Happy Celebrations
During the Spring Festival reunion, care even more for your physical and mental well-being. Arrange schedules reasonably—early to bed and early to rise without staying up late; moderate entertainment without addiction. Pay attention to dietary hygiene—no overeating, no excessive drinking, no forced drinking; prevent gastrointestinal diseases and winter infectious diseases. Persist in moderate exercise, maintain a positive and optimistic attitude, communicate and accompany family more, and cherish reunion time. If encountering emotional distress or psychological pressure, promptly seek help from family, teachers, or friends. The school is always everyone's solid support.
VI. Strictly Observe Civilization and Self-Discipline, Abide by Laws and Regulations, and Demonstrate Good Conduct
All students must always remember their identity as new-era college students, consciously abide by laws, regulations, and social ethics, and stay away from pornography, gambling, drugs, alcohol-fueled disturbances, fighting, and other illegal violations. Use the internet civilly and speak rationally—do not create rumors, believe rumors, or spread rumors; do not disseminate harmful information; maintain a clean cyberspace. When going out, stay away from wild ice surfaces, dangerous waters, undeveloped scenic areas, and other dangerous zones to prevent drowning, falling, stampedes, and frostbite. Travel safely and celebrate civilly.
Safety is the best blessing; health is the greatest wealth. The college cares about every student's well-being and safety. May all students keep safety in mind, carry warmth with them, and spend a warm, safe, fulfilling, and meaningful Spring Festival and vacation. Wishing all students a happy Spring Festival, good health, family happiness, and great fortune in the Year of the Horse!
