At the beginning of the new semester, to thoroughly implement the deployment of ideological education work for the spring semester by the Provincial Party Committee Education Working Committee and the Provincial Department of Education, firmly anchor the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, cultivate young students' patriotism and family-country sentiments, and inherit and carry forward the hero spirit and red genes, our college took "Heroes Never Fade" as the core theme to coordinate all departments in launching the 2026 Spring "First Lesson of the New Semester" series of educational activities.

The college simultaneously organized a grand ideological and political course viewing activity titled "Lighting Up the Path of Youthful Progress with Olympic Spirit" at both Daheishi and Qidingshan campuses. The event was conducted via live online streaming, featuring four Milan Winter Olympics medalists from Liaoning Province—Xu Mengtao, Wang Xindi, and others—as keynote speakers. The athletes shared heartfelt inspirational stories about staying true to their original aspirations, fighting bravely, uniting and cooperating, and winning glory for the country, drawing from their own Winter Olympic journeys. This allowed faculty and students to experience up close the responsibility and commitment of Olympic athletes, drawing strength to surpass themselves and forge ahead while listening. The scene was filled with continuous applause and enthusiastic response.
Departments Blossom with Characteristics, Professional Integration Forges Souls and Cultivates Talent
New Semester" activities that allowed the hero spirit to resonate with professional study and career development. The Nursing Industry School innovatively created a three-dimensional education scenario of "classroom plus practice plus workplace," conducting pre-class guidance on academic planning and safety education. In the classroom, they deeply integrated the advanced deeds of Liaoning's Role Models of the Era with nursing professional literacy, simultaneously organizing practical training such as cupping therapy operations and first aid drills. Furthermore, led by the dean, faculty and students were organized to enter the Dalian Spring Talent Recruitment Fair for immersive workplace teaching, allowing students to face industry demands directly, clarify their growth shortcomings, and achieve dual enhancement in soul-forging education and career guidance.
The Smart City Service Industry School and the Intelligent Manufacturing Future School led students to review hero and role model stories from different historical periods through concentrated study, live viewing, and deed sharing. They guided students from different majors to practice the hero spirit and Jiao Yulu Spirit in combination with job requirements, and selected outstanding reflections to compile excellent collections, deepening the effectiveness of learning and education. The Safety Emergency Management and Cryptography Industry School and the Low-Altitude Economy Industry School adopted an immersive teaching model of "story interspersion and penetration plus thematic video empowerment," holding "Heroes Never Fade" themed class meetings by class units. Through watching videos, sharing insights, and exchanging discussions, they guided students to draw spiritual strength from heroic deeds, aspiring to study diligently and enhance their capabilities.
The Smart Internet Industry School and the Digital Economy Industry School integrated the advanced deeds of Comrade Jin Chenglong with the new-era connotations of Lei Feng Spirit, conducting teaching through a model of "immersive narration plus interactive seminars plus practice extension," allowing students to deeply understand the contemporary significance of the spirit of dedication.
The Student Affairs Department deeply linked the "First Lesson of the New Semester" thematic education with the preparation work for the Learn from Lei Feng Activity Month, solemnly holding the launching ceremony for the 2026 Learn from Lei Feng Activity Month themed "Carrying Forward Lei Feng Spirit, Cultivating Professional Character." Combined with the "Sunshine Sports, Healthy Together" campus running activity led by Party branches, they integrated the "First Lesson of the New Semester" thematic education into cultural and sports practice.
The School of Marxism organized teachers to deeply study the connotations of the hero spirit and excavate Liaoning's red cultural resources, providing professional support for telling heroic stories well and transmitting the power of role models in the college's ideological and political classrooms.

As the next step, our college will take this activity as an opportunity to continuously excavate Liaoning's red culture and hero resources, integrating red spirits such as the Olympic spirit, hero spirit, and Jiao Yulu Spirit into the entire process of campus culture construction, classroom teaching, and social practice.
