On April 20, our college convened a promotion meeting for the concentrated rectification of prominent issues regarding teachers' professional ethics and conduct. Jia Zhihai, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the college, made work arrangements. Members of the Party Committee, leadership team members, members of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Party branch secretaries of all departments attended the meeting.

Secretary Jia Zhihai, centering on the theme of "Forging Souls and Nurturing People, Rectifying Conduct and Tempering Virtue," provided a comprehensive briefing and systematic deployment on the concentrated rectification of prominent issues regarding teachers' professional ethics and conduct across the entire college. He pointed out that in accordance with the unified work requirements of the Provincial Education Department, the college immediately focused on prominent issues existing among faculty and staff, including ethical misconduct, teaching and learning atmosphere, educational management, rights and interests of teachers and students, and integrity in teaching, and carried out comprehensive investigation and rectification, resolutely safeguarding educational fairness and justice, and making all-out efforts to create a clear and healthy campus education ecosystem.

Regarding the implementation of work advancement, Secretary Jia Zhihai emphasized the following points. First, improve the leadership system and ensure responsibilities are firmly shouldered. The college has specially established a Leading Group for the Concentrated Rectification of Prominent Issues in Teachers' Professional Ethics and Conduct, building a work pattern that runs through from top to bottom and is pursued to the end. Second, clarify hierarchical responsibilities and promote implementation at every level. Strictly follow the hierarchical management system to ensure that tasks such as study and mobilization, self-inspection and self-correction, and rectification and improvement are effectively implemented in detail. Third, clarify stage arrangements and promote orderly implementation. The college completed comprehensive mobilization and deployment in February, and from March to December, it enters the stage of full-coverage self-inspection and self-correction and concentrated rectification. At the end of December, a comprehensive summary and evaluation will be carried out to form a complete work closed loop of "deployment—rectification—improvement—consolidation." Combining the current work reality, Secretary Jia Zhihai put forward five clear requirements for key tasks in the next stage. First, raise political positioning and tighten and shoulder primary responsibilities. All departments and units should regard the concentrated rectification of teachers' professional ethics and conduct as a major political task, with principal persons personally deploying and supervising, ensuring responsibilities are assigned to individuals and tasks to posts, and resolutely eliminating formalism and bureaucracy. Each unit should conduct at least one special study on the construction of teachers' professional ethics and conduct every quarter and one special investigation every year, managing both work and ideology, both within and outside the 8-hour workday, and comprehensively strengthening teacher education and management. Second, adhere to strict rectification and strengthen supervision, discipline enforcement, and accountability. For problem clues discovered through investigation, reported by teachers and students, or lodged through complaints and reports, adhere to handling in accordance with rules and discipline, strictly and promptly, with absolutely no tolerance. For units and individuals with poor organization, slow progress, prominent hidden dangers, or concealment and failure to report, serious talks and accountability will be conducted to ensure problems are discovered early, reported early, and handled early. Third, strengthen coordination between the two campuses to achieve full coverage without dead angles. The two campuses implement unified plans, unified standards, unified investigations, and unified supervision, with the work task force strengthening daily scheduling and coordinated advancement, promptly resolving problems to ensure the rectification work reaches horizontally to the edges and vertically to the bottom. Fourth, strengthen publicity and guidance and solidify public opinion risk prevention and control. Fully utilize platforms such as the college's official website and public accounts, make good use of the special column on teachers' professional ethics and conduct construction, and organize faculty and staff to deeply study typical cases and advanced deeds, strengthening positive guidance and warning education. Strengthen public opinion monitoring and early warning, promptly respond to teachers' and students' concerns, act early and address issues when small to prevent gradual deterioration, and resolutely prevent small problems from developing into major risks. Fifth, improve long-term mechanisms and consolidate and deepen rectification results. Adhere to addressing both symptoms and root causes and comprehensive governance, combine problem rectification with institutional construction, improve mechanisms for study and education, daily supervision, assessment and evaluation, and rewards and incentives, promote the normalization and long-term effectiveness of teachers' professional ethics and conduct construction, continuously purify the educational environment, and support the high-quality development of the college with high-level teachers' professional ethics and conduct construction.
This meeting comprehensively summarized the phased work of the concentrated rectification of teachers' professional ethics and conduct, clarified the objectives, tasks, and advancement measures for the next step, further strengthened the sense of responsibility, clarified work discipline, and consolidated the work foundation. The college will take this meeting as an opportunity to continuously tighten the chain of responsibilities, deepen special rectification, improve long-term mechanisms, continuously strengthen the ideological and political education and the construction of teachers' professional ethics and conduct of the teaching staff, guide all teachers to cultivate themselves with virtue, pursue learning with virtue, and teach with virtue, and provide a strong guarantee for cultivating more high-quality technical and skilled talents.
