To thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on a holistic approach to national security and carry out the work arrangements for safety and stability in the provincial and municipal education systems, Dalian Maple Leaf College of Technology convened a special meeting on safety and stability work on April 20. Members of the Party Committee, leadership team members, members of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Party branch secretaries of all departments attended the meeting, which was presided over by Wei Xiaofeng, Party Secretary of the college.

The meeting pointed out that safety and stability are the fundamental prerequisites and important guarantees for the development of the college's undertakings. At present, the situation of campus safety and stability remains severe and complex, with students' mental health issues becoming increasingly prominent, and risk hazards in key areas such as fire safety, traffic safety, food safety, laboratory safety, and internship and practical training safety interwoven and superimposed. The pressure for risk prevention and control in ideology, online public opinion, and petition-related contradictions continues to increase. The entire college must deeply learn lessons from safety accidents that have occurred recently across the country, with a sense of responsibility of "always being concerned" and execution power of "implementing every matter," integrate safety and stability work throughout the entire process and all aspects of school operation and governance, and resolutely hold the bottom line of not allowing major or catastrophic safety accidents or systematic risks to occur.

The meeting emphasized that bottom-line thinking and extreme-scenario thinking must be strengthened, focusing on nine key areas, and taking strong measures to prevent risks, ensure safety, and protect stability. Organizational leadership must be strengthened, responsibilities must be tightened at every level, and all safety and stability work must be effectively implemented. Leading cadres at all levels must take the lead in going deep to the front line, entering dormitories, cafeterias, classrooms, and training rooms to understand actual conditions, solve difficult problems, and eliminate hidden dangers, ensuring campus safety with a solid work style.
This meeting comprehensively analyzed the situation of the college's safety and stability work, systematically deployed key tasks for the present and next stage, further unified thinking, tightened responsibilities, and pointed the direction for subsequent work. In the next step, the college will continue to promote safety and stability work, enhance management standards, and create a safe and harmonious campus environment for teachers and students.
