On April 20, Gao Mingchen, a 2022-level student majoring in Air Cabin Service from the Smart City Service Industry College, won the Grand Prize in the Foreigner Category at the 2026 Gyeonggi Northern Region Residents' CPR Competition in South Korea. With professional competence, he demonstrated the demeanor of Chinese vocational education students and won international honor for his alma mater.

This competition was hosted by the Gyeonggi-do Northern Fire and Disaster Headquarters , a highly influential public first-aid skills event in the region, aimed at promoting the "Golden Four Minutes" first-aid concept and enhancing the public's emergency response capabilities. The competition set up multiple categories including the student group, general public group, and foreigner group, attracting numerous university students and community members from the northern Gyeonggi-do region. Drawing on the solid first-aid foundation and professional training he acquired during his time at school, Gao Mingchen stood out among many contestants with standardized operation procedures in simulated emergency scenarios, capturing the highest award in the foreigner category — the "Grand Prize."
Gao Mingchen's outstanding achievement stemmed from continuous learning during his time at school. Since enrollment, he has always held himself to high standards, constantly breaking through himself in professional study, skills competitions, and social practice. While at school, he participated in Liaoning Province's "Bank of China Cup" Air Cabin Service Vocational Skills Competition and achieved excellent results. Gao Mingchen's award in this international competition is not only the fruit of personal effort but also a powerful demonstration of our college's international education philosophy and high-quality talent cultivation achievements.

This event is both a comprehensive review of the mid-term teaching reform achievements of the air cabin service major and a concentrated tempering and display of students' professional competence. Our college, relying on top-tier training facilities and deep school-enterprise cooperation, deeply integrates curriculum reform with competence enhancement, continuously building a distinctive education model. In the future, the college will continue to improve quality through curriculum reform and build foundations through competence cultivation, helping every air cabin service student develop solid capabilities. With professional competence and solid skills, they will pursue their dreams in the sky and write splendid chapters of youth!
