To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, give full play to the role of grassroots Party organizations as fighting fortresses and the exemplary vanguard role of Party members, and solidly advance the "I Do Practical Things for the Masses" practical activity, on the morning of April 29, the Student Affairs Second Party Branch of Dalian Maple Leaf Vocational and Technical College and the Luhai Village Committee of the Communist Party of China in Qidingshan Sub-district, Jinpu New Area, Dalian, jointly carried out the "Warming the Sunset Years, Caring for the Elderly" themed Party day activity. Duan Zhengnan, Secretary of the Student Affairs Second Party Branch, led Party member teachers and representatives of active applicants for Party membership to participate in this activity.

At the beginning of the activity, under the guidance of Luhai Village staff, Party branch members and active applicants were divided into groups to visit and express condolences to 3 households of solitary and elderly families in difficulty within the village, delivering daily necessities such as rice, flour, grain, and oil to the elderly, and conveying the warmth and care of the Party organization through practical actions. During the visits, Party members had cordial exchanges with the elderly, inquiring in detail about their physical conditions, family situations, daily routines, and practical difficulties. They patiently listened to the elderly's thoughts, urged them to keep warm, maintain a reasonable diet, and exercise moderately, and to promptly report difficulties to the village committee and Party organization when encountered. Warm greetings and sincere reminders made the elderly feel deeply warmed, with gratified smiles on their faces.

Subsequently, the Party branch visited the Luhai Village Party-Mass Service Center. As a demonstration site for the quality upgrading of village (community) Party-Mass Service Centers in Jinpu New Area, the center integrates functions such as Party building activities, convenient services, cultural entertainment, and daytime care, creating a comprehensive platform open all day with one-stop services, providing all-round attentive services for villagers. Everyone carefully listened to the staff's introduction, gaining a detailed understanding of Luhai Village's innovative measures and work effectiveness in Party building-led grassroots governance, elderly care services, rural revitalization, and livelihood security. They intuitively felt the powerful function of the village-level Party organization in serving the masses and uniting people's hearts, accumulating valuable experience for subsequent school-village joint construction.

After the visit, both sides conducted exchanges around Party building joint construction, volunteer services, and long-term assistance, reaching a consensus on in-depth cooperation.
