On May 7, 2026, college Chairperson Yang Ping, President Yang Jie, and Xue Fei, Director of the Brand Development Department, visited Tsinghua University to conduct in-depth discussions on jointly building an AI industrial ecosystem company and advancing high-level educational cooperation and content innovation. Cui Baoguo, Professor/Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Journalism and Communication, Tsinghua University, and Vice President of the Tsinghua University Institute for Cultural and Creative Development ; Gu Shanwei, Researcher at the Tsinghua-Nikkei Institute of Media Studies; Lu Jinzhu, Research Assistant at the Center for Media Economy and Management, School of Journalism and Communication, Tsinghua University; and Cui Xingjian, Entrepreneurship Mentor at the Tsinghua University Art and Science Center Base, attended the meeting.
Both sides focused on three core directions: intelligent large model training standards, AI curriculum system construction, and digital content production innovation. They clarified that based on the resource advantages of Beijing and Shanghai, they would implement localized student cultivation and deep industry-academia interaction, and jointly build internship and training bases to continuously deliver composite high-quality technical and skilled talents who are proficient in AI technology, rich in innovation and creativity, and aligned with market demands for the artificial intelligence and digital content industries. During the discussions, both sides reached high consensus on AI content creation, digital media production, targeted talent cultivation, copyright operations, and cooperation with mainstream platforms. They simultaneously explored expansion directions such as international education cooperation and overseas education, striving to build an integrated development model of technology leadership, education support, industry empowerment, and market-driven growth.
After the discussions, our college delegation, accompanied by Tsinghua experts, visited the campus, immersively experiencing the profound heritage, rich academic atmosphere, and cutting-edge innovation vitality of the century-old prestigious institution celebrating its 115th anniversary. This further enhanced mutual trust and built consensus, laying a solid foundation for subsequent in-depth cooperation.
This discussion basically reached a consensus on cooperation intentions. In the next step, both sides will accelerate the formulation of the company business plan, investment budget estimation, management structure setup, qualification application, and other specific matters, promoting the cooperation project to land and operate as soon as possible and achieve results early.
In the future, our college will deeply rely on Tsinghua University's top-tier disciplinary resources, research advantages, and innovation achievements, solidly advancing implementable, replicable, and sustainable industry-education integration talent cultivation models. We will make every effort to build a first-class domestic AI industry-education integration demonstration platform and digital industry talent cultivation highland, empowering the innovative development of vocational education and the iterative upgrading of the digital industry with intelligent technology, and injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of the regional economy.
