To deepen industry-education integration and school-sports collaborative education, precisely meet the talent demands of competitive sports, and contribute to the building of a sports powerhouse. On May 7, the opening ceremony for the jointly cultivated sports rehabilitation therapist program of Dalian Maple Leaf Vocational and Technical College and Liaoning Provincial Water Sports Management Center was grandly held at Liaoning Provincial Water Sports Management Center. Both sides joined hands to build a new platform of "school-sports cooperation and collaborative education." The first batch of trainees consists of students from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation Technology major of the Nursing Industry College. They will cultivate a group of high-quality, professional sports rehabilitation talents for Liaoning and even the national water sports cause, injecting solid professional strength into the development of competitive sports.

At the ceremony, Jiang Haiyang, Director of Liaoning Provincial Water Sports Management Center, delivered a speech. He stated that as a directly affiliated unit of the Provincial Sports Bureau, the center shoulders the heavy responsibilities of training and competition for Olympic events such as rowing, canoeing, and windsurfing. The prevention of athlete injuries, injury rehabilitation, and physical recovery have an urgent demand for professional rehabilitation talents. This cooperation with Dalian Maple Leaf Vocational and Technical College is an innovative measure to integrate educational resources of institutions and practical resources of the industry, and to solve the talent supply-demand dilemma. He looks forward to both sides taking this joint training as an opportunity to jointly build an integrated system of "teaching — practice — employment," and to solidify talent support for the high-quality development of water sports.

Wang Shan, Dean of the Nursing Industry College of Dalian Maple Leaf Vocational and Technical College, stated in her speech that the college has deeply cultivated the field of health and wellness talent cultivation. The Traditional Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation Technology major, relying on the provincial-level vocational skills training demonstration base, has constructed a three-dimensional teaching model of "theory + practical operation + clinical practice," forming distinctive educational characteristics in fields such as Traditional Chinese Medicine rehabilitation and sports injury conditioning. This joint training will closely follow the characteristics and job demands of water sports events. A "dual-qualification" teaching team jointly formed by professional teachers from the college and senior rehabilitation coaches and team doctors from the center will customize exclusive courses covering core content such as sports anatomy, injury assessment, Traditional Chinese Medicine rehabilitation techniques, and physical recovery training, allowing students to enhance professional skills in real training scenarios and achieve "employment upon graduation, competence upon taking the post."

The college has always taken serving the national big health industry and sports development as its educational goal. Through this school-sports cooperation, it will make every effort to build a professionalized and combat-oriented talent cultivation system, committed to cultivating trainees into professional team doctors who meet the needs of competitive sports and are competent for medical support work in sports teams, delivering high-quality technical and skilled talents for the national sports cause, and demonstrating the responsibility and commitment of vocational education in serving national strategies and contributing to the building of a sports powerhouse.

The opening of this joint training program is an important achievement of Dalian Maple Leaf Vocational and Technical College in deepening vocational education reform and promoting industry-education integration for talent cultivation. It is also an innovative practice of school-sports cooperation in jointly cultivating professional talents and serving the national sports cause. In the future, both sides will continue to deepen the connotation of cooperation, improve the talent cultivation system, expand cooperation fields, and continuously cultivate outstanding team doctors and sports rehabilitation professional talents for the country. With the power of professional talent cultivation, they will contribute to the building of a sports powerhouse and promote Liaoning's sports cause to new heights.
