To thoroughly advance the international education strategy and accelerate the construction of a high-level international education cooperation system, on May 5, our college specially appointed Professor Liu Shaojia as the head of Xinyang Shengye International Education Holding (Dalian) Co., Ltd. and the International Development College of Dalian Maple Leaf Vocational and Technical College, fully responsible for the expansion of international higher education, international cooperative education, and exchanges and cooperation negotiations with overseas institutions, representing the group and the college in international exchange affairs.

Liu Shaojia holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Oxford. He currently serves as Director of the UK Campus of Peking University HSBC Business School , Research Fellow at the Institute of Economics and Statistics, University of Oxford, and Research Fellow at an Oxford college. He has long been deeply engaged in research fields such as industrial organization economics, energy economics and policy, and corporate competitiveness, with solid academic foundations and profound industrial research experience. Relying on the two top university platforms of the University of Oxford and Peking University, he has accumulated rich experience in international education management, cross-border academic exchanges, and school-enterprise cooperation, as well as high-quality and extensive overseas institutional resources. He has deeply cultivated the field of China-foreign educational exchanges, receiving official educational visiting delegations from multiple places including Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and Hubei Provincial Department of Education, and is well-versed in domestic educational development and school-enterprise cooperation models, possessing mature capabilities to implement China-foreign study cooperation projects.

Since the college leadership met Professor Liu Shaojia during their overseas study and inter-collegiate exchange activities in Oxford, England, Professor Liu has given high recognition to the college's international education philosophy, talent cultivation characteristics, and development positioning. During this period, both sides have maintained close communication and in-depth exchanges. On this basis, both sides have continuously built consensus around topics such as China-foreign cooperative education and international talent joint cultivation, laying a good foundation for this appointment and cooperation.

All along, Dalian Maple Leaf Vocational and Technical College has steadfastly adhered to its international education development positioning. As a practitioner of international education among private vocational colleges in the province, the school has established long-term and stable cooperative relations with overseas universities in multiple countries including the United States, Singapore, the United Kingdom, South Korea, and Australia. It has successfully been approved by the Ministry of Education as a construction unit of the "Jingshi International Industrial College" under the "People-to-People Exchange Jingshi Project" , and has regularly built diversified cross-border talent cultivation models such as "3+1+1" and "3+2."
