To promote the spirit of volunteer service, practice civilized new trends, and assist in the smooth development of large-scale city cultural and sports events, from May 16 to 17, the Student Affairs Department and the Youth League Committee of Dalian Maple Leaf Vocational and Technical College organized youth volunteers from the Student Union and the National Flag Guard to participate in the volunteer service support work for the 24th Dalian International Walking Festival. As a landmark city-wide sports event, the Dalian International Walking Festival always conveys the life philosophy of health, sunshine, and civilization. Our college students used the power of youthful volunteer service to safeguard the order of the grand event and serve the general public, demonstrating the demeanor of the new-era youth with responsibility and commitment.

On the day of the event, our college volunteers arrived early at service points along Xinghai Square and Binhai Road, completing pre-job training and position arrangement work. Everyone wore uniform volunteer clothing, with clear division of labor and each performing their own duties, orderly carrying out various support work such as route guidance, crowd flow guidance, civilized guidance, and environmental cleaning, using meticulous and thoughtful services to escort the walking participants.

Mountains and seas witnessed the original aspiration, and volunteer service demonstrated commitment. Throughout the entire walking process, our college volunteers stuck to their posts, fulfilled their responsibilities, were not afraid of being busy, and were on standby throughout. They actively picked up garbage along the route, maintained the cleanliness of the walking path, promptly assisted in handling on-site emergencies, and made every effort to ensure the safe, orderly, and civilized development of the walking festival.

This volunteer service activity is also a true practice of our college in implementing the education philosophy and assisting student growth. In the process of participating in service and enthusiastically contributing, students honed themselves and gained growth, truly experiencing and practicing the spirit of volunteer service. Next, the college will continue to encourage students to actively participate in various public welfare practice activities, calling on everyone to actively step out of the campus and serve society, enriching themselves through small acts of dedication, and using youthful actions to convey warmth, fully demonstrating the responsibility and demeanor of the new-era youth.
