Second Preparatory Promotion Meeting for the World Education Exchange Conference Successfully Held

On May 18, 2026, the second preparatory promotion meeting for the World Education Exchange Conference was held at Dalian Maple Leaf Vocational and Technical College. Li Xiaotong, Executive Director of the Tao Xingzhi Education Foundation; Zhou Hang, Vice President of the Mingyuan Future Education Research Institute and Beijing Mingyuan Education Academy; and Chen Liwei, China Region Director of the German Kognus Education Group, visited the college. The three parties conducted in-depth consultations around the conference preparation work and specific Sino-German vocational education cooperation projects. This promotion meeting marked that the conference has entered the stage of resource integration and landing execution from top-level design.

· Conference Positioning: Vocational Education as the Sole Core Theme

The meeting clarified that the World Education Exchange Conference to be held in September will take "vocational education" as its sole core theme, closely following the development shortcomings of Chinese vocational education and international comparative advantages, abandoning the traditional conference model centered on a single educational ideology. The conference theme is "Inheriting the Spirit of Xingzhi, Jointly Building a New International Education Ecosystem," aiming to promote Tao Xingzhi's educational thought and drive the innovative development of vocational education from a global perspective. The conference will implement the concept of "the conference is the classroom," forming practical and replicable practical achievements through immersive practical training displays, school-enterprise signings, and joint construction of teaching standards.

· Deep Implantation of German Teaching Models

As the largest private education group in Germany with a 175-year history, the Kognus Education Group will provide its mature "Dual Training System" teaching methodology as the core support for the conference. The meeting focused on discussing the localized application of three German teaching models: the "work task-driven" teaching method, using real enterprise projects as teaching carriers to replace traditional knowledge indoctrination; the action-oriented six-step method (information, planning, decision-making, implementation, checking, evaluation), with the conference setting up observation areas for on-site demonstrations by German trainers; and scenario-embedded assessment, integrating skills evaluation into simulated production scenarios, embedded into the conference's two major practical training display modules of "intelligent manufacturing" and "big health."

· Teacher Training and Teaching Methodology Introduction

Both sides unanimously agreed that the German "Dual Training System" teaching method, especially the typical work task-driven model, highly aligns with the practical-oriented teaching needs of Maple Leaf College. During the summer vacation, Dalian Maple Leaf Vocational and Technical College will jointly hold a national "German Vocational Education Teaching Method Training Course" with the German side. Participating teachers will complete curriculum design and simulated teaching, and those who pass the assessment will be awarded German certification qualification certificates, which can serve as necessary conditions for teachers to take up posts. The relevant certified teachers will undertake the teaching tasks of the conference workshops, and this training system and certification standards will be released as important achievements of the conference.

· Guests' On-Site Visits

During the visit, the guests successively visited the college's two major campuses, on-site inspecting the campus environment, practical training venues, and supporting facilities, and gaining a detailed understanding of the college's development in educational scale, professional construction, and talent cultivation. They gave high affirmation to the college's educational conditions, development planning, and industry-education integration accumulation, laying a solid foundation for the landing of real practical training displays at the conference.

· Three Core Plates Simultaneously Advancing Around Conference Preparation

Based on the consensus of the promotion meeting, conference preparation and Sino-German cooperation achieved deep binding: focusing on the two major directions of big health and intelligent manufacturing, the cooperative content such as the college's proposed "athlete rehabilitation" characteristic direction, the joint construction of the "Traditional Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation Research Center," the addition of a "chemical intelligent manufacturing" micro-major, and the chemical special operations safety certification training center, were all incorporated into the conference's immersive teaching on-site display modules. At the same time, leveraging German resources to promote "3+1" and "2+2" joint cultivation, German dual-system paid internships, and AI remote degree education projects, all will be officially released as practical signing achievements of the conference, effectively reducing student burden and enhancing employment competitiveness.

This promotion meeting pushed conference preparation into the substantive resource integration stage. The college stated that it will take the September conference as an opportunity to accelerate the construction of a new industry-education integration model, deepen Sino-German vocational education cooperation, serve the national "Vocational Education Going Global" strategy, and contribute Chinese wisdom and "Maple Leaf practice" to the development of global vocational education.
