To thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on "grand ideological and political courses," the School of Marxism, closely centering on the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, has innovatively launched an immersive "music-based ideological and political education" classroom in the practical sessions of the course "Introduction to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era." The course tightly aligns with core tenets in the textbook such as "building a strong socialist culture," deeply integrating red melodies into ideological and political teaching. Using musical notes as the medium and singing voices as the bridge, it guides young students to perceive the great power of thought through stirring melodies and to draw strength for forging ahead through moving rhythms.

The music-based ideological and political class, themed "Listening to the Voice of Red Heritage, Creating the Beauty of Culture," achieves the organic integration of "listening to the teacher," "inviting students to sing," and "guiding students to comprehend." In the classroom, the ideological and political teacher leads students in in-depth analysis of classic red melodies such as "Defend the Yellow River" and "Without the Communist Party There Would Be No New China," and combines these with new-era red melodies such as "Ru Yuan," "You Wo," and "Wan Jiang" to vividly elucidate the spiritual lineage of the Communist Party of China. When students, organized by class, progress from solo singing to choral singing, from soft humming to loud singing, their heartfelt expressions of love for the Party and the country and the vibrant vitality of the youth of the era shine together in the classroom, achieving the infiltration of ideological and political education from the "fingertips" to the "heart."


As a key educational vehicle created by the School of Marxism, the core connotation of "music-based ideological and political education" is reflected on three levels: First, cultivating people through aesthetics and educating people through culture, transforming theoretical content on cultural confidence in the textbook into an immersive experience that can be heard, sung, and felt, truly bringing ideological and political courses to life; second, through the revolutionary history and era stories carried by red melodies, activating the deep-seated sense of family and country in young students, and strengthening the Four-Sphere Confidence through artistic appreciation; third, based on the creative transformation and innovative development of the excellent traditional Chinese culture, encouraging students to interpret red culture from a new-era perspective, allowing the red gene to be passed down from generation to generation through singing.
