To promote the deep integration of traditional Chinese medicine professional theory with clinical practice, solidify students' professional practical skills, and comprehensively enhance the capacity for traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation services, on June 2, students of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation Technology Major from the Nursing Industry College entered the Rehabilitation Center of Dalian Friendship Hospital to carry out specialized clinical study and practice activities. Through entering frontline clinical scenarios and observing practical diagnosis and treatment procedures, they learned up close the integrated Chinese and Western medicine diagnosis and treatment technologies and modern rehabilitation nursing concepts.

This study tour was personally led and coordinated by Director Gao Peng of the Rehabilitation Medicine Center of Dalian Friendship Hospital, with full-process guidance. All participating teaching teachers were core team members of Director Gao Peng, featuring strong professional faculty and rich clinical experience, fully ensuring the professionalism, standardization, and authority of this study and practice internship.

Under the full-process meticulous guidance of the department teaching teachers, the students successively entered the ICU Intensive Care Unit, gynecology ward, elderly care ward, and outpatient diagnosis and treatment area, immersively observing multi-department clinical diagnosis and treatment and nursing work. The teaching teachers, combining rich real clinical cases, explained in accessible terms the diagnosis and treatment characteristics of each department, standardized nursing procedures, and the clinical application advantages of integrated Chinese and Western medicine collaborative diagnosis and treatment, helping students precisely align with clinical position demands, effectively solidify their professional foundation, clarify career development directions, and further broaden their professional horizons and enhance their clinical practice cognition.
Regarding the rehabilitation treatment difficulties for postoperative critically ill patients in the ICU, the teaching teachers focused on demonstrating the clinical applications of characteristic traditional Chinese medicine therapies such as acupuncture, physiotherapy, and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome-based conditioning. They detailed the important roles of traditional Chinese medicine technologies in postoperative recovery of critically ill patients, alleviating physical pain and discomfort, regulating bodily functions, and assisting physical and mental rehabilitation. The intuitive and vivid clinical practical demonstrations allowed students to truly feel the unique advantages and practical value of traditional Chinese medicine in the field of critical illness rehabilitation, breaking through traditional professional cognition and deeply understanding the core advantages of high efficiency and scientific rigor in integrated Chinese and Western medicine diagnosis and treatment.

The afternoon study activities of that day focused on specialized practical skill enhancement. Professional physicians from the hospital's rehabilitation department conducted specialized facial nerve rehabilitation skills training for all students. The training adopted a model of "theoretical intensive lectures + live demonstrations + step-by-step breakdown + practical error correction," systematically explaining the pathological mechanisms of facial nerve diseases, core rehabilitation points, professional massage techniques, standard force application techniques, and clinical operation contraindications. Simultaneously, physicians provided one-on-one, hands-on guidance for students' practical exercises, promptly correcting non-standard movements, helping students master standardized and professional facial nerve rehabilitation physiotherapy techniques, and effectively solidifying their specialized practical foundation.
"Knowledge from books is superficial; to truly understand something, one must practice it personally." This hospital study and practice internship activity built a high-quality clinical practice education platform for our college's students of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation Technology Major. It allowed students to step out of the classroom and face clinical practice directly, consolidating professional theory and honing practical skills through immersive practice, and deeply recognizing the important position and application value of traditional Chinese medicine in the modern medical and health system.

This study practice effectively enhanced students' clinical practical proficiency, professional competence, and sense of responsibility as medical practitioners. Moving forward, our college will continue to deeply cultivate the practical education philosophy, regularly build school-enterprise-hospital collaborative practice platforms, and promote the precise alignment between professional teaching and clinical positions. It will guide students to adhere to the unity of knowledge and action, study diligently and practice earnestly, deeply cultivate the professional field of traditional Chinese medicine, refine professional skills, and strive to grow into high-quality, application-oriented traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation professional talents.
