To thoroughly implement the national strategic deployment of the "Belt and Road" Education Action, and continuously broaden the college's international education landscape, on June 5, delegations from Asia Pacific College and National University (Philippines) visited Dalian Maple Leaf College of Technology for inspection and exchange. Yang Ping, Chairperson of Xinyang Shengye International Education Holding (Dalian) Co., Ltd., Yang Jie, President of Dalian Maple Leaf College of Technology, members of the college leadership team, and responsible persons from relevant departments accompanied the activities. The delegation conducted on-site inspections at the Daheishi Campus in the morning and transferred to the Qidingshan Campus for visits in the afternoon, holding discussion and exchange sessions and a signing ceremony after completing all inspection itineraries.

Multi-Dimensional Perception of Vocational Education Heritage and International Atmosphere

As the "root" and "cornerstone" of the college's development, the Daheishi Campus carries over twenty years of profound vocational education accumulation. On the morning of June 5, the delegation embarked on a compact and fulfilling inspection journey.

The delegation first entered the Smart City Service Industry College. Here, the foreign guests not only witnessed the experimental scenarios of new technology applications but also personally participated in a unique tea art class. From warming the cups to placing and brewing the tea, guided by teachers and students, the delegation members experienced hands-on practice, feeling the exquisite fusion of Eastern etiquette and modern service amidst the rising tea fragrance.

Subsequently, the delegation focused on inspecting the Nursing Industry College. As a characteristic benchmark of the college, it is equipped with highly realistic simulation wards, emergency training rooms, and standardized examination stations that replicate clinical environments. The college's relevant responsible person introduced that the Nursing Industry College, relying on the "position-course-competition-certificate" integrated talent cultivation model, has introduced cutting-edge high-end simulation mannequins and information-based teaching systems from the industry. Members of the Philippine delegation expressed high admiration for the advanced practical training conditions, believing that this teaching scenario combining virtual and real elements, integrating theory and practice, is highly aligned with the cultivation philosophy of international nursing talents.

Immediately following, the delegation arrived at the Continuing Education and International Cooperation and Exchange College, gaining detailed understanding of the college's mature systems in international student enrollment and cultivation, international credit mutual recognition, and overseas education programs. The foreign guests showed strong interest in the "bringing in" and "going out" two-way channels constructed by the college, and conducted preliminary discussions on the implementation details of future student exchange programs.

Witnessing New Potential of Vocational Education in a Magnificent Layout

In the afternoon, the delegation transferred to the Qidingshan Campus. This modern campus capable of accommodating ten thousand students serves as the core fulcrum of the college's "dual-campus coordination, industry-education-city integration" strategic layout.

The delegation successively visited multiple high-level professional cluster industry colleges within the new campus, conducting on-site inspections of functional zoning and intelligent supporting facilities. The first-class educational conditions and highly forward-looking planning layout of the new campus allowed the foreign guests to intuitively feel the "Maple Leaf Speed" and "Maple Leaf Quality" of the high-quality development of Chinese vocational education.

At the History Museum of the Chinese Vocational Education Association, the delegation gained in-depth understanding of the development course of modern Chinese vocational education and the vocational education thoughts of Mr. Huang Yanpei through precious historical photographs and documentary materials. "Understanding history enables us to better create the future," a representative from National University (Philippines) expressed. "The history museum allows us to see the original aspiration and perseverance of Chinese vocational education: 'To provide employment for the unemployed and to bring satisfaction to the employed.'"

Jointly Drawing a New Blueprint for Belt and Road Education Cooperation

After completing all on-site inspections, the Belt and Road International Cooperation Education Signing Ceremony and Discussion Meeting was solemnly held in the meeting room of the Qidingshan New Campus.

As one of the higher vocational colleges in Liaoning Province that was approved earlier to enroll international students, Maple Leaf Vocational College has always regarded international education as its core strategy. This collaboration with the two Philippine universities aims to build a full-chain cooperation channel encompassing "joint professional construction, curriculum mutual recognition, joint faculty training, and collaborative scientific research," truly bringing in quality resources and allowing Chinese vocational education standards to go out.

The Philippine university representatives respectively introduced their educational characteristics. Among them, Asia Pacific College relies on its mature "micro-credentials + on-the-job internship" integrated curriculum system, committed to enhancing students' employment competitiveness. National University (Philippines) focused on promoting the international certification qualifications of its nursing program and the segmented cultivation path of interdisciplinary integration in business and IT fields. Both parties agreed to focus on fields such as nursing and health care, business, and information technology, building a dual direct-access platform of "further education + employment" for Chinese and Filipino students.

Under the joint witness of on-site guests, the three parties signed cooperation agreements. Subsequently, both parties exchanged commemorative gifts, and the atmosphere at the scene was warm and harmonious. This moment not only symbolizes the enduring friendship but also signifies that China-Philippine vocational education cooperation will bear abundant fruits.

This signing is not only a milestone in the cooperation among the three parties but also a vivid practice in serving the national Belt and Road initiative. In the future, Dalian Maple Leaf College of Technology will continue to uphold the spirit of openness, inclusiveness, mutual learning, and mutual appreciation, taking vocational education as the bond, to contribute more "Maple Leaf Wisdom" and "Maple Leaf Solutions" for promoting international cultural exchanges and industrial capacity cooperation.
