To deepen the practical effectiveness of industry-education integration, anchor the talent cultivation direction in intelligent manufacturing and industrial digitalization, advance modern vocational education to align with international industrial standards, build a new platform for internationalized school-enterprise collaborative talent cultivation, and assist in the transformation and upgrading of equipment manufacturing majors, recently, Ma Qingjiang, Business Manager of the Innovation and Talent Development Department, Northern Region of Siemens (China) Co., Ltd., and Wang Yu, Director of Siemens Digital Industries, visited our college's Qidingshan Campus for inspection and special discussions on school-enterprise cooperation matters. Yang Ping, Chairperson of our college's board, Yang Jie, President, and Gao Chenglin, Executive Vice President, introduced the college's educational situation and conducted exchange discussions.
During the inspection and exchange phase, accompanied by college leaders, the visiting Siemens leaders successively conducted on-site visits to the intelligent manufacturing practical training center, electrical automation practical training facilities, industry-education integration practical training workshop, and campus education supporting areas. The college side meticulously introduced to the visiting team the school's educational positioning, the layout of electromechanical and intelligent manufacturing professional clusters, the "work-study integration, unity of knowledge and action" talent cultivation model, as well as the educational achievements and practical experience accumulated in school-enterprise targeted talent cultivation, practical training base construction, international vocational education projects, and skills competition cultivation.
The visiting Siemens leaders highly praised our college's standardized educational management, talent cultivation positioning closely aligned with the equipment manufacturing industry in southern Liaoning, and comprehensive real-scenario practical training education system. Combining Siemens' global industrial digitalization technology accumulation, industrial internet industry resources, and advantages in the international vocational education certification system, they provided professional implementation suggestions regarding the upgrading of our college's key majors such as intelligent manufacturing and electrical automation, the iteration of on-campus production line practical training platforms, and the implementation of certificate integration.
Subsequently, both parties conducted a special discussion and exchange meeting, comprehensively and deeply discussing subsequent implementation cooperation details, each sorting out their resource endowments, industrial advantages, and long-term cooperation plans.
Chairperson Yang Ping expressed warm welcome to the delegation of Siemens corporate executives. She pointed out that the college has always adhered to the educational philosophy of industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, closely following the development waves of intelligent manufacturing, industrial internet, and digital twin industries, and continuously promoting teaching reform and practical training upgrading in equipment majors. She expressed the hope that relying on Siemens' leading resources in global intelligent manufacturing, industrial certification, and international vocational education projects, the two sides would carry out long-term and in-depth cooperation across six major segments: joint industry college construction, on-campus productive practical training base implementation, curriculum-certificate integration, transnational faculty cultivation, student internship and employment, and international vocational education project expansion. This would achieve complementary school-enterprise resources and precise alignment between the industrial chain and the education chain, collaboratively cultivating skilled talents adapted to new quality productive forces in manufacturing.
Manager Ma fully recognized our college's educational strength and the effectiveness of industry-education integration implementation. He stated that Siemens has deeply cultivated global industrial digitalization and modern vocational education for decades, relying on a mature talent cultivation system integrating certified courses, skills competitions, and faculty training, covering the entire industrial chain of electrical automation and intelligent manufacturing. Relying on the Belt and Road Research Institute, it continues to layout international vocational education cooperation projects for new energy vehicles in Southeast Asia. Dalian Maple Leaf College of Technology, based on Dalian's geographical advantages and aligned with the equipment manufacturing industry demands in southern Liaoning, has a high degree of alignment between both parties' educational and industrial cooperation, with broad space for implementation. In the subsequent phase, the enterprise will leverage its advantages in industrial technology, production line resources, international certificates, and global competition platforms to precisely match the college's professional construction needs, implementing projects such as intelligent manufacturing demonstration production lines, Siemens certificate programs entering the campus, and German experts teaching on campus, exploring new models for localizing international standard vocational education.
At the discussion site, both parties conducted in-depth consultations and reached cooperation consensus on the construction of practical training bases, integration of competitions and certificates, international faculty cultivation, implementation of intelligent production lines and overseas vocational education expansion, and long-term school-enterprise management guarantees. They planned to jointly build a "front-school-back-factory" industry college, integrate Siemens certified courses into daily teaching, broaden students' employment pathways relying on industry competitions and certificate resources, build a two-way exchange channel for Chinese and German faculty, implement integrated intelligent manufacturing demonstration production lines and explore the integration of three certificates, conduct joint training facing Southeast Asia, and simultaneously establish a tripartite consultation system among school, enterprise, and industry to dynamically optimize curricula and practical training equipment in accordance with the rhythm of industry technology iteration.
Moving forward, our college will seize the industrial opportunities of intelligent manufacturing and industrial digitalization, continuously deepen the long-term mechanism of school-enterprise collaboration with leading enterprises, drive professional iteration and classroom reform with industrial position demands, continuously improve the full-chain talent cultivation system for intelligent manufacturing, and continuously deliver high-quality application-oriented technical and skilled talents for the equipment manufacturing industry in southern Liaoning and the national intelligent manufacturing industry, assisting in the high-quality development of the regional real economy.
