To enrich campus cultural and sports life, promote the integrated development of campus sports, culture, and technology, on June 11, the 2026 Maple Leaf Vocational College 2nd International University Student Fun Marathon was solemnly held at the college's Qidingshan Campus. This event gathered teachers, students, and international students from across the college to run and compete together on the same stage. It was not only a vibrant campus sports celebration but also an important practice for the college to demonstrate its educational demeanor, promote Chinese-foreign cultural exchanges, and empower the development of quality-oriented education.
PART 01
Grand Opening · Passionate Start
At 8:00 a.m., the opening ceremony officially kicked off with stirring music. This event was hosted by Gao Chenglin, Executive Vice President of the college. At the beginning of the ceremony, all attendees stood solemnly for the national flag-raising ceremony. Accompanied by the magnificent and resounding national anthem, the five-starred red flag slowly rose, and the atmosphere was solemn and dignified. Immediately following, students from Dalian Xingang Customs Technical School brought a wonderful cheerleading performance. The lively dance movements paired with dynamic rhythms instantly ignited the atmosphere of the entire venue.


Subsequently, Wang Bo, Head Referee of the event and Dean of the Student Affairs Department, and international student athlete representative MOHAMMAD KHALIL GHOLAMI (Liu Haili), and athlete representative Song Ziyan from the Smart City Service Industry College took the stage to speak successively. Head Referee Wang Bo, on behalf of the entire referee team, solemnly pledged to strictly abide by competition rules, uphold the refereeing principles of fairness, impartiality, and openness, perform duties rigorously and referee according to standards, fully maintain competition order, and ensure the smooth conduct of the event. The athlete representatives took a solemn oath that all participating athletes will strictly abide by competition discipline, respect rules, respect referees, respect opponents, fight tenaciously, and compete civilly, fully demonstrating the youthful demeanor and sportsmanship of Maple Leaf students.



Yang Jie, Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee and President, took the stage to deliver a speech. He extended sincere greetings and heartfelt thanks to the staff who worked diligently to prepare for the event, the referee team who performed their duties impartially, the volunteers who contributed silently, and all participating teachers and students. He encouraged all participating athletes to live up to their passion and strive for excellence, to break through themselves and temper their will in running, to fully release youthful vitality, and to demonstrate the vigorous spirit of new-era youth. He also wished this marathon event complete success.

PART 02
Running with the Wind · Technology Ignites
With the sound of the starting gun, this year's International University Student Fun Marathon officially began. To ensure the participating experience and on-site order, the event adopted a staggered start model, with the women's group and men's group setting off in orderly succession. This event integrated the characteristics of a smart campus with technology, featuring intelligent robots and robotic dogs leading the race and providing escort, achieving a deep integration of traditional sports events with modern technology, which became a highlight feature of this year's event.

On the track, participating athletes encouraged each other and moved forward side by side, unafraid of fatigue and persisting to the finish line, measuring their passion with their footsteps and interpreting their striving with their sweat. Along the track, on-site staff and volunteers stuck to their posts and performed their respective duties, orderly guiding the flow of people and managing on-site order, fully cooperating with the event's conduct, making the entire event orderly and warm, vividly demonstrating the excellent demeanor of Maple Leaf teachers and students in unity, cooperation, and striving for progress.




PART 03
Successful Conclusion · Moving Forward with Honors
After a morning of fierce competition, all races of this marathon were successfully concluded. The host briefly reported on the overall conduct of this event, introducing the competition scale, track operation status, and the orderly overall event demeanor. Subsequently, the award ceremony began. Gao Chenglin, Executive Vice President of the college, presented awards to Chinese and foreign finishing athlete representatives. Yang Jie, Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee and President, presented awards to the top 10 winning athletes in the student women's group and men's group. Yang Ping, Chairperson of the college, presented awards to the top 10 winning athletes in the faculty women's group and men's group, paying tribute with heavy honors to all athletes' hard work and self-breakthrough on the track.




The successful holding of the 2026 Maple Leaf Vocational College 2nd International University Student Fun Marathon fully demonstrated the college's comprehensive strength in deeply cultivating sports construction, promoting cultural blending, and exploring technology empowerment. In the future, the college will continue to enrich campus life with diverse cultural and sports activities, concentrating efforts on cultivating compound talents with international vision, innovative spirit, and practical competence.
