The ECG connection skills competition was the first to unfold in the simulation ward. Twenty-four participating contestants strictly followed ECG monitoring operation standards, completing the full process in one go from patient assessment, skin preparation, electrode positioning to lead connection. The contestants accurately identified lead positions, skillfully handled common issues such as baseline drift and myoelectric interference, and simultaneously explained the examination purpose and cooperation points to the "patient" during the operation, demonstrating solid basic skills in internal medicine nursing and good clinical communication capabilities.

The aseptic technique operation competition was conducted simultaneously in the surgical practical training room. Nineteen participating contestants took aseptic item retrieval, maintenance of aseptic areas, hand hygiene standards, operation process continuity, and professional competence as core assessment content. From environmental assessment, item preparation to operation process and terminal disposal, every step strictly aligned with the operation standards of the "Basic Nursing" course. The contestants demonstrated skilled movements and steady rhythm, with aseptic concepts upheld throughout, fully demonstrating the "self-discipline in solitude" spirit and "zero-error" professional pursuit of the nursing profession.

The nursing psychology short play performance competition was performed warmly in the smart classroom. Five participating teams, focusing on typical clinical psychological scenarios such as preoperative anxiety, psychological crisis in cancer patients, nurse-patient communication conflicts, and end-of-life care, wrote, directed, and performed their own works, achieving deep integration of psychological theory and nursing practice. The contestants, with sincere emotional expression, delicate character portrayal, and professional communication techniques, vividly presented the professional warmth of nursing workers who "sometimes cure, often help, always comfort," triggering strong resonance and deep reflection among teachers and students on site.
On the competition field, contestants remained calm and composed, operating according to standards, transforming classroom learning into clinical combat capabilities. In the short play performances, contestants devoted themselves fully, moving people with emotion, transforming professional knowledge into the power of humanistic care. The judging panel was composed of clinical nursing experts, backbone teachers of basic nursing, and professional teachers of nursing psychology courses. They strictly adhered to the National Nurse Licensing Examination Syllabus and clinical nursing operation standards, conducting comprehensive evaluations from multiple dimensions including operation standardization, technical proficiency, clinical thinking, communication skills, and humanistic care. They also provided precise comments and personalized guidance for each contestant's performance, truly achieving the educational goals of "promoting learning through competition, promoting teaching through competition, and promoting reform through competition." After fierce competition, first, second, and third prizes and several excellence awards were respectively selected for each competition item. The college presented honorary certificates to award-winning students on site to recognize the advanced and establish benchmarks, further creating a strong atmosphere of learning from and surpassing each other.
