The lively and cheerful interaction instantly narrowed the distance between the students and the elderly, with continuous laughter and joy filling the scene. After the interactive games concluded, the hand gesture dance health exercise "Peach Blossoms Blooming" was wonderfully performed. The students, grounded in the knowledge of elderly rehabilitation and health care learned in professional classes, transformed theoretical content into practical services, personally leading the elderly to exercise their muscles and stretch their bodies. As the Dragon Boat Festival approaches midsummer, sachets carry wishes for well-being. The core activity of the event—the DIY traditional Chinese medicine sachet making—was carried out in an orderly manner. Combining course content on folk culture, traditional Chinese medicine health preservation, and elderly care, the students prepared in advance traditional Chinese medicinal materials such as mugwort, clove, and calamus, as well as sachet fabric and tassels. At the activity site, everyone sat beside the elderly, meticulously explaining the origins of Dragon Boat Festival folk customs and the health benefits of Chinese herbal medicine, and gradually demonstrating the production process of threading needles, filling medicine, closing openings, and tying tassels. For elderly with poor vision or limited mobility, the students proactively stepped forward to assist, accompanying them patiently throughout the process. The young and old working together to make sachets and sharing Dragon Boat Festival memories allowed traditional folk culture and the warmth of filial piety to flow through the scene.
