To innovate international education forms, enrich international students' classroom experiences, assist international students coming to China in deeply understanding excellent traditional Chinese culture, and promote friendly cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and other countries, on June 17, the Smart City Service Industry College meticulously planned and conducted a traditional culture series experience course. Through two characteristic practical courses—Dragon Boat Festival rubbing and Silk Road sand painting—international students from various countries experienced the charm of Chinese style, understood Chinese culture, and comprehended the Silk Road spirit in an immersive experience.

During the Dragon Boat Festival season, Teacher Zhou Yan conducted the traditional culture rubbing themed class "Red Paper Rubbing Chinese Style, Dragon Boat Festival Understanding Huaxia." The class closely aligned with the theme of Dragon Boat Festival folk culture, systematically introducing the development trajectory of traditional rubbing culture, meticulously explaining the symbolic meanings of classic traditional auspicious patterns such as peonies, dragons and phoenixes, and lotuses and chrysanthemums, and vividly interpreting the beautiful connotations of Chinese tradition, helping international students understand the folk cultural connotations and humanistic sentiments carried behind the patterns. To adapt to international students' learning characteristics, the course simplified the cumbersome procedures of traditional rubbing, adopting a creative pattern experience model to reduce operational difficulty. Under the teacher's one-on-one meticulous guidance, international students personally experienced the rubbing craftsmanship, carefully feeling the delicate and smooth beauty of traditional pattern lines, immersively experiencing the Dragon Boat Festival folk atmosphere through hands-on practice, and truly appreciating the unique charm and profound heritage of traditional Chinese folk culture.

To deepen international understanding education and convey the Silk Road cooperation and mutual benefit concept, Teacher Zhou Bingxue conducted the "Belt and Road" themed sand painting experience class for international students. In the classroom, the teacher introduced the creative techniques and Eastern aesthetic characteristics of traditional sand painting art, leading international students into the vivid and elegant world of traditional sand painting. The practical session centered on the core connotations of Silk Road cooperation, guiding students to use sand as ink and the plate as a scroll, independently creating iconic imagery such as high-speed rail, high-quality rice, and characteristic tea. The students devoted themselves to creation and discussed with each other, feeling the charm of traditional art through fingertip creation with every sprinkle and scrape. The teacher extended explanations based on student works, intuitively displaying Silk Road cooperation achievements in infrastructure connectivity, agricultural mutual assistance, and industrial interoperability, concretizing the concept of consultation, joint construction, and shared benefits, allowing international students to intuitively and deeply understand the core connotations of the Belt and Road's mutual benefit and win-win cooperation. At the end of the course, all students presented their works collectively, completing the Silk Road themed sand painting collective exhibition.

This series of traditional culture courses broke through the limitations of traditional theoretical teaching, deeply integrating traditional festival culture, traditional artistic techniques with internationalized teaching, empowering cultural education through practical experience. It not only enriched international students' learning lives, allowing overseas students to perceive the charm of excellent traditional Chinese culture up close, but also built a platform for exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign youth through culture as a bond. Moving forward, the college will continue to tap into quality traditional cultural education resources, regularly create diversified international characteristic courses, nurture hearts with culture and promote integration through exchanges, continuously advance the external dissemination of excellent traditional Chinese culture, and assist in the high-quality development of the college's international education work.
