To implement the education philosophy of "promoting learning through competition, promoting practice through competition, selecting talent through competition, and improving quality through competition," refine practical teaching standards, and reserve competition talent, the Nursing Industry College held a Health and Social Care skills competition for full-time teachers on June 29. Wang Shan, Dean of the Nursing Industry College, and Sun Lianbi, Vice Dean of Teaching, served as referees. Teachers from the whole college competed on the same stage, exchanged, and improved together.

This competition benchmarked against industry competitions and clinical practice standards, using teachers' professional demonstration to drive students' skill improvement, and simultaneously screening competition backbones. The competition atmosphere was strong. Participating teachers, with solid theories and standardized operations, demonstrated excellent professional capabilities and rigorous professional accomplishments. The referee group adhered to the principle of fairness and justice, conducting detailed evaluations from multiple dimensions including operation standards, teaching abilities, and detail control, and commented on advantages and disadvantages on site. Teachers observed and discussed with each other, forming a teaching research atmosphere of mutual learning and joint progress.

After the competition, two teachers, Liu Dongchen and Yan Yu, reviewed the competition, summarized the highlights of the activity, analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of teachers in practical operations and teaching, and proposed implementable improvement plans around optimizing practical teaching, conducting normalized training for students, and building competition preparation echelons.

Dean Wang Shan affirmed the effectiveness of this competition and praised the teachers' professional demeanor of striving for excellence. She emphasized that the core of the competition is to empower student growth with teachers' skill refinement, and required all teachers to integrate competition standards and high-quality practical training methods into daily teaching, organize normalized student skill training, discover excellent students, and build and perfect competition preparation echelons.

This competition tested teachers' practical operation and practical training guidance capabilities, and implemented the goal of skill-based education. In the next step, the Nursing Industry College will normalize the conduct of teacher skill competitions and teaching research activities, optimize practical training models relying on competition standards, give play to teachers' demonstration role, strengthen students' practical operation levels, continuously reserve high-quality competition talent, and promote the high-quality development of the college's practical education work.
