To actively respond to the work deployment of the China-Russia Education Year 2026-2027, further deepen China-Russia educational cooperation, and promote cultural exchange and youth interaction between the two countries, on June 29, the opening ceremony of the 2026 Russian Youth Study Camp in China was grandly held at the Qidingshan Campus of Dalian Maple Leaf College of Technology.
This study activity is a key practical project of our college to serve the China-Russia Education Year and promote exchange and mutual learning between youth of the two countries. The activity welcomed a total of 104 Russian teachers, students, and parents, embarking on an immersive China study tour lasting several weeks, integrating Chinese language study, cultural experience, and urban exploration.
On the morning of the opening day, the Russian study group first entered the Qidingshan Campus, visiting the campus environment, teaching and training venues, and the Social History Museum on site, experiencing the college's international education atmosphere and educational characteristics up close, gaining an in-depth understanding of the development achievements of Chinese vocational education, comprehensively understanding our college's educational philosophy, vocational education characteristics, and international education achievements, feeling the innovative vitality and diversified education atmosphere of Chinese vocational education up close, which laid a good beginning for this study tour.
On the afternoon of the same day, the opening ceremony was officially launched with the magnificent featured dance performance by our college's students, with a warm and harmonious atmosphere on site and a strong youthful vibe.
Yang Jie, President of Dalian Maple Leaf College of Technology, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. He stated that the China-Russia Education Year is an important platform for the two countries to deepen educational collaboration and enhance people-to-people connectivity, and this study camp is a vivid practice of the concrete results of educational exchanges between the two countries. The college carefully customized a featured study itinerary around the three major dimensions of language learning + cultural experience + urban study, and through rich content such as interesting Chinese language classes, Chinese intangible cultural heritage experiences, and Dalian urban exploration, helps Russian students immersive sense Chinese culture and understand the development features of China in the new era. At the same time, the president encouraged all Russian youth to cherish the study time, take initiative in exchange and mutual learning, and strive to be youth ambassadors for ever-lasting friendship between China and Russia, and sincerely welcomed all students to choose our college for further study in the future and start a long-term path of coming to China for study and growth.
The ceremony was full of warmth. Jiang Yu, teacher representative of the Chinese side, took the stage to speak, welcoming the Russian students coming from afar with sincere and warm messages, and encouraging students to broaden their horizons, gain growth, and live up to their prime time in the study tour. Subsequently, Muximing and Liu Li, representative Russian international students currently studying at our college, shared their insights on studying and campus life in China. They recounted their gains from coming to China with their personal experiences, and sent warm blessings to new partners with real experiences, conveying sincere friendship.
A message video from the 2025 Russian Study Tour to China was played on site. The Russian teachers and students who participated in the study tour last year sincerely shared their study experience at our college, highly recognized the college's excellent campus environment, professional curriculum system, and thoughtful service guarantee, frankly stating that this trip was full of gains and the experience was excellent, and sent good wishes to the newly enrolled study tour team this time, continuing the warm friendship of friendly exchanges between Chinese and Russian youth.
After the message video ended, international students from our college brought a wonderful song performance. The melodious and pleasant singing built a bridge of hearts, and sang the beautiful friendship of China-Russia friendship, mutual understanding, and integration with the voice of youth.
Subsequently, Galina and Daria, leading teachers from the Russian side, and Oliya, representative of study tour students, spoke in turn. Everyone expressed heartfelt thanks to the college for its meticulous and comprehensive preparation and warm and thoughtful reception, and stated that they would cherish this study opportunity, study earnestly, experience actively, and communicate proactively, deeply feel Chinese culture and urban charm, and return with full load of knowledge and friendship.
At the end of the ceremony, a heartwarming gift-giving session was held on site. President Yang Jie and Dean Wang Zhongze presented customized commemorative gifts to Russian study tour teachers, students, and parents, with small tokens carrying strong friendship, witnessing the precious moment of friendly exchanges between Chinese and Russian youth.
Finally, leaders, teachers, students, and parents from both China and Russia took group photos together, capturing the youthful scene of mutual dedication and joint progress, and successfully concluding this opening ceremony.
The content of this study tour is rich and the forms are diversified. Russian youth will systematically learn basic Chinese, immersive experience traditional Chinese culture such as paper-cutting, tea art, and traditional folk customs, visit Dalian's characteristic urban landmarks, appreciate the cultural heritage and modern development features of this coastal city, and recognize the real, three-dimensional, and vivid China in the new era through walking, observing, and communicating.
The successful opening of this study camp is another important achievement of our college closely following the theme of the China-Russia Education Year and deepening China-Russia international education cooperation, further building an exchange platform for mutual learning of civilizations and heart-to-heart communication between youth of the two countries. In the future, Dalian Maple Leaf College of Technology will continue to rely on the international education exchange platform, continuously broaden the path of international education, enrich the carrier of Chinese-foreign education, continuously cultivate compound international talents with bilingual communication and broad vision, and continuously write a brand-new chapter of China-Russia good-neighborly friendship and generation-to-generation mutual understanding with education as the bridge and youth as the medium!
