To celebrate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, commemorate the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Long March, and solidly advance the study and education on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements, coinciding with the critical starting point of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, on June 30, Wei Xiaofeng, Party Committee Secretary of Dalian Maple Leaf College of Technology, delivered a "July 1st" thematic party lecture to all party members and cadres of the college under the title "Guiding the High-Quality Development of the College with a Correct View of Political Achievements." The lecture guided all party members and cadres to consolidate their ideological foundation, strengthen their responsibility for hard work, and promote the internalization and externalization of a correct view of political achievements.
Wei Xiaofeng pointed out that the launch of study and education on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements by the entire Party is a major decision and deployment of the Party Central Committee. All party members and cadres should earnestly enhance their political consciousness, transform their learning results into concrete actions of hard work and responsibility, and test the effectiveness with practical achievements and real results. The party lecture was structured around three dimensions: deeply studying and finely comprehending the overall requirements and practical paths of the study and education; basing on reality to test effectiveness with hard work; forging the team to strive to be practitioners and promoters.
Calibrate the value coordinate and answer the "three fundamental questions" well. Wei Xiaofeng emphasized that to establish a correct view of political achievements, one must first answer well "for whom to create achievements, what kind of achievements to create, and how to create achievements." We must adhere to putting teachers and students first, taking the sense of gain of teachers and students as the primary benchmark; closely align with the type positioning of vocational education and anchor the goal of high-quality development; promote the spirit of hard work, and break through difficulties and open up new prospects with responsibility and action. He particularly pointed out that the view of political achievements for private higher vocational colleges must be grounded in serving national strategies, serving regional economy, and serving industry development, demonstrating value in serving the overall situation.
Answer with hard work and real achievements, and deliver the answer sheet of high-quality development. Wei Xiaofeng systematically reviewed the college's breakthrough progress in recent years from seven dimensions: party building leadership, governance system optimization, improvement of educational conditions, professional curriculum construction, quality improvement of talent cultivation, foreign exchange and cooperation, and security and stability work. Phase I of the Qidingshan Campus has been built as the nation's first industry-college-themed industry-education integration base, and Phase II of the intelligent manufacturing industrial park is gaining momentum; closely aligning with Liaoning's "2211" industrial system, more than 40 majors have been established, and the graduate employment rate has remained above 98% continuously; cooperative relationships have been established with 30 overseas universities, and international students on campus cover 52 countries, with the number reaching more than 500. "Achievements are made through hard work, not shouted out," Wei Xiaofeng said. These results are precisely the best footnote to the whole college's pursuit of truth and pragmatism and genuine hard work.
Forge an excellent team and bravely act as practitioners and promoters. Focusing on "one part deployment, nine parts implementation," Wei Xiaofeng put forward six specific requirements to all party members and cadres of the college: strengthen the sense of ownership, adhere to pragmatism as the foundation, persist in unity and cooperation, persist in going deep into the front line, persist in vigorously implementing, and pay attention to working methods. He emphasized that the development of the college is like sailing against the current — if you don't advance, you will fall back; even slow advancement is also retreat.
All party members and cadres should uphold the original intention of loving the college as their own home when performing their duties, work steadfastly based on their positions, and synchronously realize the growth and progress of their own accomplishments and comprehensive abilities in the process of assisting the high-quality development of the college's educational undertaking.
At the end of the party lecture, Wei Xiaofeng called on the whole college to work together with one heart and one direction, concentrate efforts to tackle key problems, answer with hard work and deliver results as the answer sheet, devote all thoughts and energy to promoting the high-quality development of the college, consciously integrate the college's development into the overall situation of Liaoning's comprehensive revitalization, realize new leaps at the new starting point, write a brand-new chapter that is worthy of the era and worthy of teachers and students, and present a gift to the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China with excellent achievements.
