From July 15 to 16, the three events of UAV Driving, Health and Social Care, and Social Sports Instruction (Fitness) of the 15th Dalian Vocational Skills Competition were successfully held at our college's Daheishi Campus. This edition of the competition was hosted by the Municipal Government and organized by the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Municipal Education Bureau, the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, and the Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League. With the theme of "New Era, New Skills, New Dreams", the competition aligned with the standards of the WorldSkills Competition and the National Vocational Skills Competition. A total of 29 events were set up, covering both cutting-edge industrial fields such as Intelligent Connected Vehicle Assembly and Commissioning, Digital Construction, and UAV Systems, as well as urgently needed livelihood trades including Health and Social Care, Dental Restoration, and Smart Security.
As one of the implementation and support units of this competition, our college attached great importance to the hosting work. During the preparation stage, the college quickly established a special task force, refining work plans for venue zoning, equipment commissioning, environment arrangement, and safety management item by item, strictly aligning with all competition hosting requirements at the municipal level, and making every effort to build a solid foundation for competition support. During the competition period, all staff had clear division of labor and coordinated linkage, efficiently completing various service tasks including contestant registration, equipment maintenance, venue order management, and logistical support. The referee team adhered to the principles of fairness, impartiality, and openness in adjudication, conducting scoring and evaluation with rigor and meticulousness, ensuring the standardized and orderly operation of all competition links from multiple dimensions.
On the competition floor, the atmosphere was intense and vibrant. Contestants from across the city were in high spirits and composed in response, strictly abiding by competition rules and operational standards, precisely controlling the competitive rhythm, and completing the competition assessment content with proficient professional skills, rigorous professional attitude, and strong psychological quality, fully demonstrating the solid professional foundation and the spirit of striving for excellence of skilled talents in the new era.
The successful hosting of these three events is both a comprehensive review of the effectiveness of skilled talent cultivation in the fields of UAV, health care, and fitness instruction across the city, and a valuable practical opportunity for our college to deepen the connotation construction of programs and promote practical training teaching reform. Standing at a new starting point, our college will continue to deeply cultivate the main front of vocational education and talent cultivation, foster the soil for the cultivation of the spirit of craftsmanship, continuously build professional platforms for regularized skill competitions, exchange and study, and quality improvement and empowerment, continuously optimize the skilled talent cultivation system, fully empower the transformation and upgrading of regional industries, and inject strong momentum into the high-quality development of the local economy and society.
