With strong support from our College’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship College, and to deepen industry-education integration and advance school-enterprise collaborative education, on July 27 and 28 the Smart City Service Industry College organized teams from the majors of Financial Services and Management, Big Data and Accounting, Tourism Management, and Hotel Management and Digital Operations to visit, respectively, Dalian Fangyuan Certified Public Accountants, Dalian Puwan Business Exchange Center, and Hua Xia Bank Zhongshan Sub-branch. The visits precisely connected with enterprises’ talent needs, laying a solid foundation for optimizing talent cultivation plans and deepening school-enterprise cooperation.
On July 27, Dean Ji Meijiao led the accounting major group to visit Dalian Fangyuan Certified Public Accountants, where President Qi Yuanyuan warmly received them. After touring the corporate-culture and Party-building exhibition area, the two sides held a discussion, exchanging in-depth views on how well the talent cultivation plan matches the enterprise’s actual needs. President Qi proposed that accounting talent should possess the combined capabilities of professional application, tool operation, and professional competence, and suggested that students get exposed to real accounting sets early and obtain vocational qualification certificates. The two sides reached a cooperation consensus on jointly building internship bases, bringing in enterprise mentors, and conducting case-based teaching.
On the same day, Office Director Ma Dong led tourism and hospitality faculty to visit Dalian Puwan Business Exchange Center. With its complete conference, exhibition, and catering-and-accommodation service system, the center is an ideal practical-training site. The two sides reached preliminary cooperation intentions on jointly building off-campus internship and training bases, having enterprise mentors teach on campus, and organizing student observation and learning, which will strongly promote the optimization of the talent cultivation plan for tourism and hospitality majors, facilitate deep alignment between the curriculum system and industry service standards, and deepen industry-education integration through school-enterprise collaborative education.
On the afternoon of July 28, Dean Ji Meijiao and Vice Dean Hao Jia led the finance faculty team to Hua Xia Bank Zhongshan Sub-branch for a discussion. The enterprise’s responsible person introduced its business structure and talent-selection orientation, suggested strengthening courses such as marketing practice and consumer psychology, and provided direction for optimizing the talent cultivation plan for the Financial Services and Management major. The two sides held in-depth discussions on the training system and the pathways for cultivating core competencies, and agreed that the core of the business lies in building customer trust, and that practitioners need good emotion management and stress-resistance abilities. These consensuses will drive industry-education integration to a deeper level.
This series of visits covered the four majors of Financial Services and Management, Big Data and Accounting, Tourism Management, and Hotel Management and Digital Operations, connected with three types of high-quality employers, accurately grasped the pulse of the industry, and provided an important basis for optimizing talent cultivation plans. The College will continue to optimize the curriculum system, strengthen real-business practical training, accelerate internship base construction, and establish a school-enterprise follow-up mechanism, so as to keep talent cultivation in sync with industry demand and cultivate high-quality applied talent.
