Against the backdrop of the state's in-depth advancement of the Belt and Road Initiative and the accelerating global footprint of Chinese enterprises, on August 21 a delegation from E&G Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd.—comprising Chairman Byron Bai, General Manager Bai Haotian, Marketing Director Zhao Qingqing, and Design Director Chi Yanzhuo—visited the Qidingshan Campus of Dalian Maple Leaf College of Technology for an exchange. Yang Ping, Chairwoman of Xinyangshengye International Education Holdings (Dalian) Co., Ltd. and Chairwoman of Dalian Maple Leaf College of Technology; Gao Chenglin, Executive Vice President; and Xin Shangyue, Head of the Belt and Road Industry-University-Research International Cooperation Innovation Base, warmly received the guests and accompanied them throughout the visit. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics such as the cross-sector integration of vocational education and industrial construction, talent support for overseas industrial parks, and the development of high-end vocational education parks, jointly exploring a new model of 'infrastructure + talent + industrial operation' collaboration to support Chinese enterprises going global.
On-Site Visit: Focusing on Industry-Education Integration and the Smart Campus
Accompanied by Chairwoman Yang Ping, the E&G delegation toured the college's various industry colleges, the AI teaching equipment exhibition area, and the History Museum of the China Vocational Education Association. The college's 'enterprise-into-campus' industry-education integration model, its 'one-network' smart campus covering both campuses, its teaching innovation of 100% AI-empowered courses, and its educational practice with hands-on courses accounting for over 60% of the curriculum won high recognition from the visiting guests.

Chairwoman Yang Ping also introduced the college's international education footprint. The college has built a full-chain education system spanning preschool, K12, vocational high school, higher vocational education, and overseas cooperative education, providing talent dispatch and localization services across multiple Southeast Asian countries, and has established 'Mozi Workshops' and industry colleges in Cambodia, Indonesia, and other locations to cultivate localized technical talent for Chinese enterprises going global—this global talent network aligns closely with E&G's overseas footprint, laying a natural foundation for the cooperation between the two sides.
Panel Discussion: Jointly Mapping the Blueprint for Cooperation
After the visit, the two sides held a panel discussion. Chairwoman Yang Ping extended a warm welcome to the E&G delegation. She stated that the college has always adhered to an educational path centered on industry-education integration as the main thread and internationalization as the direction, and looks forward to joining hands with E&G to jointly serve the strategic agenda of Chinese enterprises going global and domestic industrial upgrading.

Chairman Byron Bai introduced E&G's development history and brand strength. Founded in 2001, E&G Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd. is a leading turnkey engineering (EPC) general contracting service provider for industrial facilities. Over the past two decades, the company has grown from a Dalian-based local general contractor into an EPC service provider with a nationwide presence and global reach. It holds five Class-I construction qualifications and has its own in-house design team, upholding the corporate philosophy of 'We Build Value.' It delivers tailor-made, one-stop facility solutions for high-end clients from Asia, Europe, Australia, and beyond, covering diverse industrial sectors such as automotive, logistics, high-tech, chemical and pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and cold-chain. It has delivered nearly 130 projects in total, with foreign-invested projects accounting for over 90%, and enjoys a strong reputation in the industry for its global perspective and high-quality delivery capability.

Directions for Cooperation: Deep Synergy across Three Major Areas
Through in-depth exchanges, the two sides reached broad consensus on three major directions for cooperation:
First, talent support services for overseas industrial parks. Targeting overseas markets of mutual interest such as Malaysia and Indonesia, the college can leverage the 'Belt and Road Talent Bank' and its overseas industry colleges to provide trained, localized technical workers for Chinese enterprises going global. Adopting a '20% Chinese core staff + 80% local employees' model, it addresses the pain points of 'difficulty in recruitment, retention, and low efficiency' that Chinese-invested enterprises face in Southeast Asia, offering a full-process human resources solution spanning recruitment, training, and onboarding.
Second, the development of domestic high-end vocational education parks. The college plans to attract high-end manufacturing enterprises to settle in its industrial park and build high-standard factory buildings; E&G can provide one-stop services from planning and design to construction, ensuring the buildings meet enterprises' special requirements for ceiling height, load-bearing capacity, and smart capabilities. The two sides will also explore a joint-investment model to form a closer strategic partnership.
Third, resource sharing and market synergy. The two sides also plan to jointly organize forums, roadshows, and other events in Dalian and along the Belt and Road countries, integrating education, talent, and infrastructure resources to build an ecosystem of services for Chinese enterprises going global.
This exchange was a vivid practice of the cross-sector integration of vocational education and the real economy. The two sides found deep alignment in areas such as global talent networks, overseas market footprint, and high-standard park development. Moving forward, they will collaborate closely on matters including the phase-II land-use planning of the industrial park, technical due diligence for high-standard factories, and dedicated advancement of the Malaysian and Indonesian overseas markets, accelerating the implementation of the consensus reached. Through the deep synergy of 'infrastructure + talent + industrial operation,' they will jointly build an ecosystem of services for Chinese enterprises going global, contributing the wisdom and strength of school-enterprise collaboration to the high-quality joint development of the Belt and Road and the internationalization of vocational education.
