To deepen the freshmen's patriotic feeling, temper their resolute will and character, and cultivate the fine style of unity and discipline, on September 1 our college held the grand opening ceremony of the 2026 freshmen's military training—'Maple' in Full Bloom, a Fresh Start in Uniform—at the sports ground of the Qidingshan Campus. All Class of 2026 freshmen, clad in military training uniforms, stood in high spirits and orderly formation, together welcoming the first growth-required course of university life that belongs to them.
Leaders present at the opening ceremony included Yang Ping, Chairwoman of Xinyang Shengye International Education Holdings (Dalian) Co., Ltd. and Chair of the Board of Dalian Maple Leaf College of Technology; Yang Jie, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President; Wei Xiaofeng, Secretary of the Party Committee; Gao Chenglin, Executive Vice President; Jin Xiaohui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Alice, Vice President; Wang Zhongze, Chair of the Trade Union and Dean of the College of Continuing Education and International Cooperation & Exchange; Jia Zhihai, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and Director of the Party and Administrative Office; as well as heads of the college's Party and government departments and secondary colleges. True to the spirit of youth, bravely stepping onto the new path of the era. Liu Yingna, a student of the Software Technology program at the Intelligent Manufacturing Future College, took the stage to speak. On behalf of all Class of 2026 freshmen, she pledged that during the military training they will obey orders and follow commands, fear neither hardship nor fatigue, strictly observe training discipline, devote themselves to the training with an uplifting posture, make a good start with the first lesson of enrollment, gain growth through tempering, and open a brand-new university life.
