To gain an in-depth understanding of students' internship situation, sincerely care for the interns, and further deepen the integration of industry and education and school-enterprise cooperation, on the morning of September 9 a delegation from the Future College of Smart Manufacturing—Yang Shan, Associate Dean of Teaching; Qiao Wenshu, Director of Practical Teaching; Liang Yuting, Mechanical Teacher; and Jiang Yunpeng, Counselor—went to Lüdong Generator (Hengli) Group on Changxing Island to carry out an “enterprise-visit and post-expansion” activity and to extend greetings and care to the students interning at the company.

At the symposium, Minister Guo, the company's responsible person, warmly welcomed the college delegation and gave a detailed introduction to the company's development history, production and operations, job setup, and talent-cultivation system. He said that the college's interns have a solid foundation, a down-to-earth working style, and strong ability to get up to speed, and that they demonstrate good professional competence and work ethic in their respective posts, earning the recognition and praise of their workshop mentors and fellow employees.
Combining the company's actual production realities, Minister Guo also offered valuable opinions and needs regarding the cultivation of our students. He pointed out that the manufacturing and maintenance of generators place very high demands on employees' basic mechanical skills, and that the company urgently needs students to master the standardized use of common basic tools and measuring instruments and to possess hands-on abilities such as the disassembly, inspection, debugging, and assembly of typical mechanical components. He hoped that the college would further strengthen students' basic hands-on training in daily teaching, so that before entering the enterprise they would already possess the fundamental job skills of “quick to start, steady in operation, and proficient in standards,” enabling them to adapt more quickly to the company's production pace and provide talent support better matched to the company's high-quality development.

On behalf of the college, Yang Shan, Associate Dean of the Future College of Smart Manufacturing, expressed heartfelt thanks to the company for the good working environment, attentive on-the-job guidance, and thoughtful living arrangements it provided for the interns. She noted that internship is a key link in students' path to their careers, and that the college has always attached great importance to internship quality, hoping the college and enterprise will continue to strengthen communication and jointly refine and substantiate internship management and talent cultivation. Director Qiao Wenshu held in-depth exchanges with the company on implementing the practical-teaching plan and on internship process management and assessment; Teacher Liang Yuting offered suggestions on connecting job-competency requirements with course content based on mechanical-engineering teaching; and Counselor Jiang Yunpeng reminded the students to strictly observe the company's rules and regulations, pay attention to production safety, maintain a good mindset, and communicate with the college promptly when encountering difficulties.

Subsequently, the college delegation held a cordial discussion with the interns. The teachers asked in detail about the students' job responsibilities, work content, and food and lodging arrangements, and listened attentively to everyone's internship gains and reflections. The students said one after another that through the internship they not only applied what they had learned in class to actual production and improved their professional skills, but also personally experienced the company's standardized management and its pursuit of excellence—the craftsman spirit—and that they had gained a great deal. The teachers encouraged everyone to cherish the internship opportunity, learn modestly from the company's mentors, acquire real abilities and true talents through practice, and fully demonstrate the good character of the college's students.

After the meeting, led by the company's responsible person, the college delegation went deep into the production workshop, inspected the interns' work scenes on site, learned in detail about the generator-manufacturing process, equipment operation, quality control, and safety management, and observed the students' hands-on operations. Seeing the students in work uniforms, operating in a standardized manner, and fully focused, the teachers were deeply gratified, and reminded everyone to complete all production tasks with high quality on the premise of ensuring safety, striving to gain something from the learning and to achieve success.

This visit-and-greeting and school-enterprise seminar not only let the interns feel the college's care and warmth, but also further strengthened the ties between the college and the enterprise, laying a solid foundation for subsequent deepening of industry-education integration, optimization of talent-cultivation plans, and expansion of cooperation areas. The Future College of Smart Manufacturing will continue to advance school-enterprise collaborative education and strive to cultivate more high-quality technical and skilled talents suited to industry-development needs.
