On September 17, the 'Southern Liaoning Vocational Education AI-Empowered Education Informatization Innovation Seminar,' guided by the CERNET Dalian Regional Center of the China Education and Research Network (CERNET) and hosted by our college, was held at the Qidingshan Campus of Dalian Maple Leaf College of Technology. Under the theme 'AI Empowers High-Quality Development of Vocational Education Informatization,' the seminar brought together leaders in charge of informatization and technical backbone from multiple universities in southern Liaoning, as well as representatives of education informatization enterprises, to explore together the opportunities, pathways, and practical solutions for the digital transformation of vocational education amid the AI wave, building a high-level exchange and discussion platform for the digital and intelligent upgrade of regional vocational education.

In the morning, the participating guests first visited the Qidingshan Campus and the History Museum of the China Vocational Education Association. During the visit, the guests gained an up-close understanding of the college's educational heritage and distinctive talent cultivation, as well as the century-old vocational education culture of the CVEA, and experienced firsthand the college's achievements in campus culture development, industry-education integration practice, and informatization infrastructure, giving full recognition to our college's dedication to vocational education and its efforts to inherit and promote the vocational education spirit.

At 1:00 p.m., the seminar officially opened. Executive Vice President Gao Chenglin of our college delivered the welcoming address, elaborating on the college's educational path of 'inviting enterprises onto campus and integrating industry with education,' as well as the original intent of extending the 'first lesson of the semester' to the conference venue. He emphasized that, as the Cybersecurity Awareness Week happens to fall in the same week, all colleges should embed security awareness throughout every aspect of informatization development, safeguard campus networks and the data security of faculty and students, and expressed his hope of using this event to establish a regular exchange mechanism for vocational education informatization in southern Liaoning.

Subsequently, Yu Guanghui, Deputy Director of the CERNET Dalian Regional Node of the China Education and Research Network and Chief Engineer of the Network and Information Center of Dalian University of Technology, delivered a speech. Based on the construction practice of the CERNET Dalian Regional Node, he offered guidance on the coordinated development of regional education informatization and gave clear direction on the formation of the Southern Liaoning Vocational Education Informatization Alliance.

After the addresses, the conference moved into the special-report session. Seven industry experts took the stage in turn, with topics progressing layer by layer—from smart campus development and reshaping digital thinking to platform application implementation and full-scenario solutions of large models evolving into intelligent agents—delivering multidimensional and multi-scenario sharings. The seven reports each offered a distinct perspective, encompassing frontline practices from institutions across the three tracks of undergraduate, higher vocational, and secondary vocational education, as well as cutting-edge solutions from enterprises, bringing 'AI empowerment' back from concept to real classrooms and campuses.

Chen Dajun, Deputy Director of the Educational Technology Center of Dalian Art College, delivered a special report titled 'Deepening Smart Campus Development: AI Empowering the Advancement of Arts Education.'

Xue Fei, Minister of the Publicity Department of the Party Committee and Director of the Network and Information Center of Dalian Maple Leaf College of Technology, delivered a special report titled 'Building a Solid Digital Foundation and Leveraging AI to Activate Development Momentum.'

Zhao Danding, Industry Director of Tencent WeCom, delivered a special report titled 'Effective Implementation of Digital Applications with WeCom.'

Luo Zheng, Director of the Graphic and Information Center of Xi'an Eurasia University, delivered a special report titled 'Digital and Intelligent Transformation of Universities and In-Depth Application of WeCom.'

Shao Qingjun of Dalian Zhuoyun Technology Co., Ltd. delivered a special report titled 'From Large Models to Intelligent Agents — Zhuoyun's Full-Scenario AI Solutions Empowering Vocational Education Informatization.'

Han Xinzhou, Director of the Library and Information Center of Dalian Electronic School, delivered a special report titled 'Leading Smart Campus Development with Digital Thinking.'

Jiang Xiaochen, Pre-sales Engineer of Ruijie Networks Co., Ltd., delivered a special report titled 'One Cloud Builds the Foundation, Digital Intelligence Revitalizes Vocational Education.'

The holding of this seminar is both a concentrated review of the college's educational path of 'inviting enterprises onto campus and integrating industry with education' and a concrete step for the college to actively integrate into the broader development of vocational education in southern Liaoning and serve regional informatization development. Seizing the opportunity of hosting this event, our college will continue to deepen digital campus development, constantly enhance its capability to serve education and teaching through informatization, and contribute to the high-quality development of regional vocational education.
