From September 15 to 17, the Second Belt and Road International Forum on Vocational Education was held in Yichang, Hubei Province. Hosted by the China Vocational Education Association (CVEA), the forum adopted the theme 'Skills Build a Better Future' and brought together dignitaries, education officials, and envoys stationed in China, as well as presidents of vocational colleges and representatives from China's vocational education and industry sectors, to discuss new pathways for international cooperation in vocational education. President Yang Jie of our college was invited to attend the forum.

As a representative of higher vocational colleges invited to the forum, President Yang Jie joined guests from various sectors in witnessing the release of important outcomes including the Belt and Road Vocational Education International Exchange and Cooperation Report, the China Vocational Education Development Report (Blue Book of Vocational Education), and the Collection of Exemplary Cases of Belt and Road Vocational Education Exchange and Cooperation.

During the parallel forums and experience-sharing sessions, focusing on Topic 2, 'Mutual Recognition of Standards and Security Safeguards in International Vocational Education Cooperation,' President Yang Jie shared insights and practices on topics such as innovation in internationalized talent cultivation models and the building of industry-education collaboration mechanisms, based on the college's actual operations, and engaged in in-depth exchanges and mutual learning with vocational education peers from home and abroad.

International cooperation in vocational education is an important chapter in jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative. Seizing the forum as an opportunity, the college will proactively align with national strategic needs, translate the forum's outcomes into its educational practices, continuously deepen exchanges and cooperation with vocational colleges in Belt and Road countries, steadily improve its internationalized talent cultivation system, and strive to cultivate more high-quality technical and skilled personnel with a global vision.
