A Strong First Lesson in Safety Education for the New Semester
To strengthen the fire safety awareness of the Class of 2026 freshmen and improve their self-rescue, mutual-aid, and emergency evacuation capabilities, on the evening of September 11, our Qidingshan Campus organized a fire evacuation drill for all Class of 2026 freshmen.
Careful Planning for an Orderly Drill

Before the drill, the college developed a detailed evacuation plan based on the actual layout of the campus dormitory buildings, clarifying evacuation routes, post responsibilities, and assembly points, and arranged for relevant staff and leading instructors to be in position ahead of time, preparing for the smooth conduct of the drill.
Alarm Sounds, Teachers and Students Evacuate Swiftly

As the alarm sounded, the drill officially began. Guided by instructors and teachers, all freshmen covered their mouths and noses with wet towels, bent low, and evacuated the dormitory buildings quickly and in order along the established routes. The whole process was tense but orderly, busy but not chaotic.
Assembly and Roll Call: Everyone Evacuates Safely

After evacuating to the designated safe area, each company immediately reformed ranks, counted heads, and reported upward level by level, ensuring every student was safely accounted for. The students were in high spirits with neat formations, demonstrating strong discipline.
Summary and Review to Consolidate the Drill's Results
After the drill, the on-site supervisor summarized and reviewed the evacuation exercise, affirming the students' performance while pointing out shortcomings in the evacuation process, and explained the correct escape methods and precautions in case of a fire using real cases.
This drill served both as a vivid fire safety education lesson and as an important part of the freshmen's orientation education. Taking this as an opportunity, the college will conduct safety education and emergency drills on a regular basis, effectively strengthening the safety awareness of teachers and students and jointly creating a safe and harmonious campus environment.
