The military and local communities join hands, heart to heart, writing a new chapter of double-support and co-construction. To deepen the friendship of school–unit co-construction and strengthen the foundation of national defense education, recently a delegation led by Duan Zhengnan, Director of the Student Affairs Department of Dalian Maple Leaf College of Technology, and Zhang Tao, a student management officer, visited Unit 93159, Unit 93392, and the Qidingshan Subdistrict People's Armed Forces Department of Dalian Jinpu New Area, extending sincere greetings to the officers and soldiers and presenting customized commemorative banners. Each co-construction partner has long devoted itself to freshman military training, national defense education lectures, and conscription mobilization, providing solid support for the high-quality development of the college's national defense education.

Visiting Active-Duty Units and Strictly Observing Confidentiality Discipline

The first stop of this condolence visit was the two active-duty units, Unit 93159 and Unit 93392. Throughout the visit, the group strictly complied with the units' confidentiality management regulations—not disclosing details to the outside or leaking classified information—which fully demonstrated our college's rigorous, standardized, and discipline-respecting approach to supporting the military. The visiting group expressed heartfelt thanks to both units for their strong support in military training instruction and national defense education, and presented exclusive commemorative banners—to Unit 93159: 'Inheriting the Military Soul Through Training and Teaching, Strengthening the Bond Between Military and Locality'; and to Unit 93392: 'Strict Training Nurtures the Young with Great Love, School and Unit Joining Hands to Forge Deep Affection'—paying tribute to the officers and soldiers who devoted themselves to training and safeguarded the growth and transformation of students with responsibility and great love, jointly cultivating outstanding talents for both school and unit.

Entering the Grassroots People's Armed Forces Department to Deepen Military–Civilian Friendship

Subsequently, the visiting group came to the Qidingshan Subdistrict People's Armed Forces Department of Dalian Jinpu New Area, where they held face-to-face exchanges with Sun Hongwei, Subdistrict Party Secretary; Sun Yan, Director; Wang Qian, Minister; and others. They reviewed the achievements of school–local double-support co-construction, conscription, and national defense education over the years, and presented a commemorative banner reading 'Devoting Heart to Educating Students, Military and Civilians United in Eternal Alliance,' paying tribute to the perseverance and dedication of grassroots national defense workers. During the exchange, both sides unanimously expressed their commitment to continuously deepening school–local cooperation, solidly advancing projects such as freshman military training coordination, bringing conscription policies onto campus, and military camp practical experiences, so as to encourage more Maple Leaf youth to take up the pen and join the army, making achievements in the military.

This visit and condolence activity not only sincerely expressed our college's respect and gratitude toward active-duty officers and soldiers and grassroots national defense workers, but also further consolidated and deepened the bonds of school–unit and school–local double-support co-construction. Moving forward, the college will adhere to the working philosophy of 'educating through the military and cultivating virtue by supporting the military,' and will routinely carry out activities such as military-support visits, national defense lectures, and military–local co-construction, guiding the broad masses of young students to revere, love, support, and join the military, continuously burnishing its distinctive brand of national defense education, and writing a new chapter of double-support in which the military and civilians are of one heart and advance hand in hand in the new era!
