From stepping forward on the cliff of Wangyu Mountain, to national attention after appearing in People's Daily, CCTV, and other major media. Our student Shen Daoren, affectionately called the 'Yellow-Shoes Guy' by netizens for his pair of bright yellow shoes, made a brave move at a critical moment, letting hundreds of millions of viewers see the kindness and responsibility of contemporary youth.

When CCTV's camera focused on this post-2000s teenager, what we saw was not just a single act of bravery, but a vivid manifestation of our college's achievement in fostering virtue through education — the sincere goodwill of the new-era youth internalized in the heart and expressed in action. This extraordinary sense of responsibility in an ordinary young man is by no means a momentary, accidental outburst, but an instinctive choice after long-term moral nurturing and accumulated competence.

The foundation of education is moral cultivation, with virtue first. For a long time, our college has steadfastly upheld the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and putting education first, and adhered to the philosophy of 'become a person before becoming a talent, cultivate virtue before cultivating ability.' The college deeply integrates moral cultivation, responsibility development, and humanistic edification into the entire process of teaching, learning, and campus culture building, immersing students' growth in all aspects, routinely shaping fine character, and guiding the broad masses of youth to establish a correct worldview, outlook on life, and values.

One warm good deed is a walking 'ideological and political' lesson. The concentrated reports by People's Daily, CCTV, and other major media let the positive youthful energy originating from the Maple Leaf campus travel across mountains and seas and spread throughout the country. The responsibility of new-era youth lies not only in stepping forward at moments of crisis, but also in the day-to-day self-cultivation and adherence to virtue and the persistent pursuit of good, rooted in the character upheld and the original aspiration accumulated bit by bit.

Next, our college will take this exemplary good deed as an opportunity to dig deep into the educational value of role models and amplify the positive demonstration effect. It will continue to carry out various first-aid training and safety-experience activities on a regular basis, establish the safety-education philosophy across the whole school that 'everyone can self-rescue and everybody understands first aid,' continuously promote the fine school spirit of acting bravely for justice, and comprehensively enhance students' emergency rescue capability and social responsibility.
