Recently, the 19th Dalian Youth Marxist Training Program for Outstanding Student Cadres, organized by the Communist Youth League Dalian Municipal Committee, was successfully held at the Dalian Communist Youth League School training base. This training focused on tempering the theoretical foundation and enhancing the capabilities of young cadres, employing diverse formats such as thematic lectures, seminars, and practical training to cultivate young Marxists with firm beliefs, strong competence, and the ability to shoulder important responsibilities. Our college attached great importance to this selection and training. Jiang Hongming, a student from the 2025 cohort of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation Technology program at the Medical and Nursing Industry College and part-time student deputy secretary of the School Youth League Committee, represented our college in the training, studying and exchanging ideas with outstanding young cadres from across the city.

Casting the Soul and Empowering Growth: Learning Through the Classroom

The Youth Marxist Training Program bears the important mission of cultivating young cadres who can shoulder the responsibility of national rejuvenation for the Party. Its core lies in forging the soul through theory and tempering the will through practice. This Dalian Youth Marxist training class scientifically arranged five thematic courses, advancing step by step from theory to practice, from ideology to capability: through "Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building" and "Singing the Song of Youth on the New Journey of Building a Strong Nation and Rejuvenating the Nation," participants systematically studied the Party's innovative theories and deeply understood the mission and responsibility of young people in the new era; the course "Understanding Dalian's Urban Transformation: Empowering High-Quality Development with Youth" guided young people to integrate their personal growth into the broader picture of local development; the red-themed course "Drawing on the Power of the Long March Spirit to Advance on the New Journey of the New Era" inherited the revolutionary spirit; and the "Youth Speech and Expression Empowerment Course" strengthened their skills in public speaking and advocacy.

Immersive Study and Diligent Growth

During the training, Jiang Hongming strictly observed all rules and regulations of the program and consistently maintained a rigorous and proper attitude toward learning. She immersed herself in classroom study, actively expressed her views in group discussions, and humbly drew on the practical experience of students from sister institutions. After several days of intensive tempering, her ideals and convictions were further strengthened, her understanding deepened, and her approaches to planning and organizing student work were enriched and expanded, fully demonstrating the excellent qualities of our college's young cadres - being grounded, diligent, and eager to learn.

Gaining Insight from Learning, Passing on the Torch

After returning to school, she brought what she learned and reflected upon in the Youth Marxist classroom to her fellow students, using her personal insights to inspire collective learning and progress, turning theoretical gains into a tangible youthful force around her. Speaking about this training, she said it was a rare learning experience and also an ideological awakening; in the future, she will hold herself to the standards of a Youth Marxist trainee, internalizing what she has learned and applying it in practice, improving herself through diligent study and hard training, and playing a vanguard and exemplary role in serving fellow students and contributing to the campus.

Short-term intensive training is an important lesson for growth, while cultivating cadres is a long-term educational endeavor. The core mission of young cadres lies in playing a vanguard and driving role, uniting the strength of the youth community, and achieving the transition from "individual growth" to "collective progress." The college will continue to advance youth ideological guidance in depth and substance, run the Youth Marxist Training Program to a high standard, and help young students firm up their ideals and convictions through theoretical study, enhance their overall competence through social practice, embrace the nation with ambition, and step forward with responsibility - fulfilling the mission of the times with youthful dedication.
