On October 18, 2026, the 2026 Ring Huangnichuan Dalian Trail Race kicked off successfully in Huangnichuan. Hosted by the Dalian Mountaineering Association, and as a renowned ITRA-points trail race in Northeast China, the event featured multiple competitive categories of 50K, 30K, and 15K, attracting participants from all over the country to gather on the mountain-and-sea course. To ensure the event was safe, orderly, and exciting, the Smart City Service Industry College organized more than 130 teachers and student volunteers to devote themselves to event volunteer service. The students stood firm at their posts and contributed selflessly, safeguarding the event with the strength of youth and becoming a warm splash of youthful color on the autumn mountain-and-sea course.

The trail race course runs along the mountains by the sea, with winding and rugged mountain paths and scattered service points, making the event support tasks heavy. To complete the volunteer service to a high standard, the college organized pre-post training for volunteers in advance, clarifying the responsibilities of each post, familiarizing them with the course procedures and service standards, and explaining key points of work such as course guidance, supply replenishment, athlete assistance, and emergency response, making ample preparations for event service.

On the early morning of the race day, the volunteers assembled and set off on time as arranged, and quickly entered working status upon arriving at various service points in Huangnichuan. In the cool autumn breeze of the mountains, the volunteers were in high spirits, divided into clear roles and collaborating, and were distributed across key posts such as course guidance, supply replenishment, station duty, order maintenance, athlete assistance, and post-race crowd dispersal.

On the course, facing a continuous stream of participants, the volunteers were warm and attentive, patiently providing route guidance, promptly handing over supplies, cheering on the running athletes, and carefully assisting them in solving various problems encountered along the way, doing their utmost to safeguard runners' safe passage and help athletes finish smoothly. Despite the harsh conditions in the mountains, all volunteers followed unified coordination, stayed at their posts throughout, never slackening or leaving their positions, and completed every task with patience, care, and a sense of responsibility. Unafraid of fatigue and contributing silently, they demonstrated a rigorous and earnest working attitude and a positive spirit, efficiently cooperating with the event organizer to complete the logistics support and service backing for the entire race, ensuring the event proceeded smoothly and in an orderly manner.

This volunteer service for the Ring Huangnichuan Trail Race is an important practice for the college to enrich its second classroom and implement practice-based education. More than 130 teachers and student volunteers interpreted youth responsibility through perseverance, conveyed the warmth of volunteering with enthusiasm, not only helping the trail race to be successfully held, but also tempering their character and improving their communication, coordination, and emergency-response abilities through outdoor practice. They earnestly practiced the volunteer spirit of 'dedication, friendship, mutual help, and progress,' and fully demonstrated the selfless, uplifting youthful demeanor of the students of the Smart City Service Industry College.

The autumn mountains and seas are magnificent, and youthful volunteerism shines. The volunteer service for this trail race concluded successfully. Next, the Smart City Service Industry College will continue to expand various social-practice and volunteer-service platforms, guiding more students to step out of campus and grow through practice, so that their youth blossoms with even more dazzling light in the practice of volunteer service.
