To further improve the management level of practical training rooms, enhance teachers’ safety awareness and emergency response capabilities, and ensure the safe and orderly conduct of practical teaching in the new semester, on the afternoon of March 12, 2025, the Academic Affairs and Scientific Research Office, together with Dalian Jinzhou Fire and Rescue Brigade, the University Security Office and the Information Center, jointly held a training meeting on the use and safety of practical training venues for the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year. The meeting was presided over by Qu Ling, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs and Scientific Research Office. Present at the meeting were Officer Zhong from Jinzhou Fire and Rescue Brigade of Dalian Fire and Rescue Detachment, Yan Zhonglei from the Information Center, Lü Yunfu from the Security Office, as well as teaching directors, persons in charge of practical training rooms and teachers from all teaching units of the two campuses, with a total of 88 people attending the meeting.

Qu Ling, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs and Scientific Research Office, first led all teachers to conduct an in-depth study on the safety management and usage specifications of practical training venues, and made careful planning and deployment for the safety management of practical training venues in response to the new requirements put forward for the new semester. Director Qu particularly emphasized the principle of "safety first, prevention first", clarified the responsibility of each teacher in the safety management of practical training venues, and required everyone to internalize safety awareness in mind and externalize it in practice, so as to jointly weave a tight campus safety protection network. Subsequently, Director Qu explained in detail the Computer Room Management System of Dalian Maple Leaf Vocational and Technical College, stressed the importance of computer room safety management, and called on all teaching units to strengthen collaboration to jointly maintain the safe and stable operation of computer rooms. Yan Zhonglei, a teacher from the Information Center, supplemented the specific specifications for the daily use of computer rooms, emphasizing the importance of standardized management in improving teaching quality and ensuring the safety of teachers and students.

Officer Zhong from Jinzhou Fire and Rescue Brigade of Dalian Fire and Rescue Detachment and Teacher Lü Yunfu from the Security Office explained fire safety knowledge and the proper use of fire-fighting equipment in detail and in-depth based on the actual situation of the school at Qidingshan Campus and Dabeiheishi Campus respectively, and personally demonstrated the operation skills of portable fire extinguishers and fire blankets. The teachers participating in the training actively took part in the interaction and generally said that they had gained a lot. They not only mastered practical fire-fighting skills, but also deeply realized the importance and urgency of fire safety work.

This meeting has significantly improved all teachers’ awareness and sense of responsibility for safety issues. It is hoped that the participating teachers can apply the knowledge and skills they have learned to the daily teaching and management of practical training rooms, continuously improve the safety management level of practical training venues, and ensure the smooth progress of practical teaching in the whole school.
